Let your hair rest a week if you can (or if your impatient like me, try two days) then dye it a dark brown again.......NOTHING with the name golden in it thats whats making your roots turn yellow love, just dye it dark brown.....Try a Nice & easy hair color, sure they look ugly in the box but it will give natural results and no mess ups like the one you described, and since your roots are now dyed they shouldnt absorb the lightened tones as much.

Stop! No it won't go away...You have lightened your hair. This means that you took color away from your hair. It will not come back by itself. Do not get a "hair stripper". You can't take out lifted hair. That is the same as thinking you can wash out a bleach spot on your black sweater by putting it in the wash with more bleach. All that will happen is that you will either further lighten your hair or further damage it. You need to put the color back in your hair, but pleeeaaase don't do it yourself!!
I am not sure what you mean by 100% hair color. It sounds like you accidently picked a light brown color that was meant to lift dark hair to the golden brown you stated was on the box. Lifting light hair is way different than lifting dark hair. So yeah, your box may have been for dark hair...just not for the result you wanted.
The other thing that concerns me is that you said "when I woke up this morning my hair was a yellow-ish color". Does this mean you didn't notice it last night...Or could it mean that you either didn't rinse it good enough and it lifted through the night...or worse yet, did you forget to rinse it at all? Both of these things are reallllly bad for your hair. The way you would know if it continued lifting through-out the night is only if you think it is lighter this morning than it was last night.
Do not continue on this path. Go to a hair dresser and tell her/him everything you did. Do not leave ANYTHING out...even stuff you don't think is important. If you still have the box you used bring that in. If you stop right now your hairdresser may be able to fix it cheaply...if you continue it will just get more expensive.

It's not going away. The closer to your head, there is more heat, so the dyes processed faster. Sounds like there was too much developer in the dye. Go and get it fixed sorry to say.
