Some people seem like they're trying to be the most hated person on here. I'm QUITE sure that there are a few believers that despise me (because hate is against their religion eh?)

Yes, it is fun. But Jim Darwin has been chastizing me a bit, and it makes the fun a little less satisfying without his approval. Why? I don't know.

I don't see the point in trying to piss anyone off, and I'm not sure why others do.

Congrats on level 4, btw.

Have to admit, I'm still trying to figure you out, though: You have some great and thoughtful questions, but at the same time you usually throw something in (such as your last sentence above) that serve little logical purpose except to irritate people you disagree with.

What's the point? And why derail a perfectly good question by doing that sort of thing? It seems counter-productive to me.

I actually despise the people that come here just to rag on believers as much as the believers do. I'm here as an example to believers that you don't need the crutch of religion to have a good life and try to educate them in a manner so that they can return to reality... The people who come here just to poke fun hinder my attempts at giving a positive face to atheism.

i became into raised with a would desire to question each and every thing. My father has an relatively sturdy scientific backgroud and neither of my father and mom have been of any specific faith. I had apersistent, nevertheless, for the era of extreme college and school to attempt to comprehend the assumption of "faith" and how it applies diverse religions. looking returned, i think of I took a in basic terms scientific strategies-set to a topic that's no longer in basic terms scientific. I nevertheless carry to my strongly scientific history, notwithstanding, being extra of a scientist, i'm no longer able to declare with conviction "God does not exist." I do exactly no longer comprehend for a certainty. The extra I stay, extra confident I exchange into that there is a God. notwithstanding, i've got confidence my definition of that word is a lot diverse than maximum folk's....... surprising question. Cheers. :)

I do enjoy trying to piss off believers because it challenges their beliefs and brings them out of their little worlds. Believers are generally caught up in a world where everything revolves around 2000 year old concepts. These people are told what to think. Maybe by challenging them they will be provoked to thought and just maybe they will be forced to consider other peoples opinions.

I think anyone should be able to believe whatever they want without anyone else giving them a hard time about it.

I don't try, but it happens. Try a nice question to Christians, and you get things I am not about to repeat.
