I have bipolar, even on meds, & w/counselling, I get moody sometimes. Anyone have any ideas on ways to help me not take my moodiness out on other's (especially my BF), besides staying away from people althgether when I feel moody!
:-) Seriously. I always feel bad whenever I do that, but it's been harder to control, lately. I've been stable (for the most part) for the past 7-8 years, (since my diagnosis), but this still happens sometimes.
Thanks! :-)

The mood swings could be hormones carbonating. Do you get enough sleep? Not taking your moodiness out on your boyfriend will be hard. We are often the hardest on the people we love. Talk to the people closest to you while you are feeling well and explain what's going on. You may think they know, but knowing is not understanding. Lovingly explain that just 'cause you're grumpy or mean doesn't mean you don't love them...it is the beast within. BTW - emotions, even negative ones aren't bad, it's just when they become overwhelming, huh? Go ahead and "feel" that stuff and don't let it scare you. You can do it. I believe in you.

whatever man we live in a world where everyone is bipolar. Its just normal this day in age. We are all aware of our disfunctions and we all had messed up childhoods and some sort of diorder....whatever man. Its all the same thing. It cool just let it flow and try to live and love and we will except you for you..
\Trust me. I am one to. and a few other things like borderline personality, manic depres all that stuff. I personally really dont have it effect my life and when it does ..... people appricate my crazyness.....because i appricate them and when I do that they cant help but love my specialness...heheheheh

so stop thinking about it so much and just let it be, its something you can control. Just try to put yourself in others shoes and be nice

You usually take your agressive behavior out on the people you are closest to. I know, I have it too. The person who suffers the most is my husband, but he is also the person who loves me the most, and is there to help me when I am at the worst point.
The saying goes "You always hurt the ones you love" and it is true in this instance. But they are also the ones who understand you the best, and try to alleviate your symptoms! They can see what you are going through on a daily basis.

I am on medication for it too. But nothing helps it like someone who loves you.

well i haven't delt with this condishion one on one but what i do with my emotions is accknowledge them and find away to not take it to heart! if that is writing down what i feel so i don't take it out on someone then sweet!
but most of all think before you talk or act!
if you think that someone may take it the wrong way just ignore it or write it down and vent it out!
or try a new approach of talking it out.. eg
your upset because someone canseled plans instead of getting all emotions and crying and getting mad.. say to them
will you share 10 minutes with me so i can say a few things and get some feedback! then say i understand you made other plans or something came up stuff like this happends to me then search in your brian for and eg: by the time you find the eg... you already put yourself in there shoes ;;; tricky i know!
no keep with that cuz you just defeted your emotion!
Good luck
Mad luv!

My readings regarding blood sugar imbalances indicate that some of the mood swings may be due to blood sugar imbalances, either due to hyperinsulinemia or hypoglycemia.

You may want to check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org.

If there is anyone in your community or nearby who teaches meditation techniques, contact them and schedule an appointment to talk about your issues. They will probably be able to offer you mental exercises that you can do to even out your mood.

SOME DR'S AND PEOPLE WANT'S FOR YOU TO BELIEVE THAT REALLY IS NO CURE FOR ANY TYPE OF MENTAL ILLINESS. DR'S WANTS MONEY, AND MONEY, EXPENSIVE COST OF MEDICATION IF YOU DON'T GET IT FROM THE GOVERNMENT. WHY THEY DON'T TELL YOU THE SECRET OF HOW TO OVERCOME YOUR SICKNESS. (Sickness created by you, by sending the wrong message to your subconscious mind power) If you want to be better, do it the right way, start teaching your self how to use your mind correctly, how to send the correct messages.
Hunny, everything began with Power of The Mind. For those of you who have not heard of Napoleon Hill he was one of the early teachers of the power of the mind. The basic principle is that whatever your mind can imagine it can create. How does it do this? What your mind thinks, sees, believes, feels is all sent to your subconscious mind power. it's great partner. Your Subconscious then works with the universe and creates your reality based on the messages that began in your mind. But its not enough to simply imagine it and then hope it happens. That's not the way it works. If you can imagine it you can achieve it but you need to know how to use the power of your mind. Your mind can create wonderful things for you if you know how to use it and how to send the right messages to your subconscious. Most people don't know how to do this. Instead, you go through life never really using the power of your mind.

Did you know that doctors now firmly believe that 75% of all sickness and disease start in the mind? 75-Percent! That's a very large amount. That means that 75% of all the people who are sick today -- are only sick because they did not know how to use their mind. Doctors will even tell you that most sickness and disease are caused by stress. This is another event that starts in the mind. Scientists have long said that we only use 10% of our mind. 10-percent that's it. Think of going through life only spending 10-percent of your salary? Could you do it? No! Yet you go through life only using 10% of your mind. That 10-percent is creating 75% of all sickness because we don't even know how to use it properly. Now imagine if you just used 10% of our mind correctly? What would happen? What would happen if we learned to use 90% of our mind correctly? The results would be astounding! Your mind is an incredible power but no one ever taught you how to use this power. Throughout your entire life you've been taught how to do everything but no one ever taught you how to use your mind. Creating Power teaches you how to use your the power of your mind. I'm not saying that if you work with the Creating Power System you'll start using all of your mind correctly. But I do know that you'll begin using the power of your mind to its full potential and that is enough to create the change you want. Would you drive a car if you didn't know how to drive? No. You would have someone teach you. Why then would you try to use the power of your mind when you don't know how? Yet you do it everyday and you get the results that you don't want. If you want to change your life. If you want to use your mind correctly and utilize all its power then you need the Creating Power System. And it's completely Guaranteed!

I was with a severe depression for 10 years. Partial schizophrenia, Bipolar, taking 7 types of different anti-depression medication, sometimes more. No to mention Hospitalized many times for attempts of suicide. Expensive medication that I coudn't afford...

Just remember one thing. Medication in today’s culture is set by people who want to sell them. " Is not like in old days " Dr's get a kick back from them, also medication can make you even more depress if you take to much or the wrong kind. It can affect you and many different ways.

You can do it, because I did it. I am Free of Medication and Worries.

Remember... Creating Power System, Create Power.

Best.
