No one can tell you without watching you hit different clubs. You need to hit several different shafts to find out which one works best for you swing. You have different flex and kick points. Go to a demo day and try them all to see what you like. The compaines post them on there web site.

If you have a fast swing speed (>85-95mph), a stiff flex will benefit you. For the average golfer, a regular flex will be just fine. I don't know what you mean by Taylormade vs. steel.......but graphite shafts are lighter than steel shafts (allows for faster swing speeds of irons, for example). For irons, graphite also absorbs shock better, but most golfers prefer the better feedback from steel. For woods, go for a regular flex.......they'll all have graphite shafts.

Buy shafts that are regular ( med ) flex. The larger sweet spots on the titanium heads do all the work so all you have to do is swing easy and fluid. Doing this will keep your swing on the correct plane and the ball will fly where it's supposed to. Good swing models, Ernie Els and Vijay Sing. Don't try to copy Tiger's swing, he's a freak of nature. Besides better to be only 150 yds in your own fairway instead of 300 yds. in the next fairway.

Depends on your swing speed. Try different ones. What the pros use, (most all use steel) have nothing to do with your own needs, in spite of marketing hype. Get checked out by a club pro is best.

Keep in mind that all the pros you see on TV are using custom fit shafts built just for them regardless of what brand of club they use.
None of them are using off the shelf stuff.

#1 I would stay consistent with all your woods and best if throughout all your clubs. The answer to your question depends on whether you are looking for more accuracy or distance. If you are young and have a fast or quick swing (not the same thing) I would go with a stiff. Especially if you are tall and/or strong.

you have to get into a simulator with a golf pro - he'll measure how fast you swing the club - over 110 mph you should get the stiff flex but if your swing speed is slower than the regualr flex will work -
