What is the deal with the "Toronto Blessing"?
In this video documenting the heresies of the Charismatic movement, it even shows grown men howling like wolves while be lead around the alter area by a leash? How crazy can North American Christianity get?

... sounds like what you're describing is something known as Mental Shifting, which isn't Christian at ALL...

... it's a very Pagan thing, a type of ShapeShifting.

If you look on Yahoo for the Toronto Blessing - their are many sites you can go too. I believe it started in 1994. So, good luck on your hunting. And Christianity has not gone way downhill since you left. We are still very strong and I would love to invite you to church. God Bless you.

You are refering to speaking in tounges. I think the holliness churches do that.

"christianity" as popularly practiced is a sad reflection of the dysfunctional nature of its "hierarchy" and the "lobotomized" who practice it."lobotomized" = those being led around by the nose by narcissistic sociopaths who are in it for the usual reasons---money, power, and cute little boys. while we should all be tolerant of all "peaceful" religions, christianity being one of them, generally speaking, as compared with fundamentalist islam, for example, things are getting a bit out of hand, eh? i wish people would return to the "inner" teachings of a once meaningful belief system. in this regard take a look at the book *gnosis of the cosmic christ*. not an "easy read " for the intellectually challenged", but very beneficial for those with an i.q. :-)

They need to be following the true church, THE Church of Don. Not to be confused with the First Assembly of Don or the Reformed Church of Don or even the 1st Church of Don.

ok.....please don't group those idiots with every other Christian in North America......the Bible DOES teach that some have the gift of speaking in tongues and laying hands on people and so forth....but i think most people today that you see doing it on tv or whatnot are faking.....and about the walking on all fours and barking? total crap......that's nothing from God....that's just a bunch of fools....so yes, THEY are crazy......but don't say that the whole of North American Christians are......you'll never see me doing any of that and i've been a Christian the majority of my life....

I watched this move up from South East USA to Toronto.

VERY STRANGE aberration.
