Vinegar's good; also for washing, there are detergents made specifically for black clothes. No names, but one starts with W and ends with oolite. :-)

im not sure on that but there is a detergent for black clothing to keep them black its made by cheer i just remembered salt rocks are what they use in jeans to get the stone washed look so dont use salt it will lift the black out

add vinegar to your salt solution also.
