I think that with age comes wisdom. That's the best answer I can come up with. Beauty isn't forever, and whoever is shallow enough to think so is in for a really harsh reality check.

The nice thing about maturing is that all the crap the beauty industry throws around means less and less. One grows to the reality that beauty, for all it's cost to maintain etc, is only skin deep. The truly beautiful people, have that beauty regardless of how they look, or how old they are.
So, it's the younger set all the media crap is geared towards, get them to buy into the beauty thing when they are young, and hopefully they will be customers if they stay stupid instead of maturing and realizing the truth.
I think the saddest thing I've ever seen is an older woman who has had too many facelifts in the effort to remain youthful looking.
She is hollow inside, has little to offer because it is all about being obsessed with looking young. Well, I am not young, I have no desire to be young again, and I don't wish to look anything like young, I am who I am, and proud to bear my years with grace and dignity. The whole beauty industry can take a flying leap for all I care.

I am turning 50 next Tuesday and Madonna just turned 49 Getting older has made me wiser, much wiser. Matters of the Heart I can deal with so much better than when I was young. I am basically pretty fit and plan on staying that why. I eat better. I am enjoying life as much as my income will let me. If I could start over I would do the money thing much better. But it isn't over yet. I am not obsessed with youth and beauty, I am just trying to be the best I can be and sexy too.

To be honest, I wonder where the years went because time seems to go by so fast now! I'm in my 40's but I think sometimes "Where did my 30's go?" I don't feel old. I certainly don't ACT old!! I plan to fight the wrinkles as long as I can, but I don't over-obsess about it. I just try to look my best. The best thing about getting older is the knowledge that you acquire and the wonderful memories that stack up!!! I have raised my children and have a beautiful grandson! I hope I get a lot older to see him grow up also!

some days I think about aging more than other days. the messages I receive are from my body, aches reminding me I'm not as young as I used to be. If I garden for more than 2 or three hours at a time, I really feel it the next day. But with age also comes wisdom (hopefully) and one learns outward appearances are not where true beauty lies.

I was always the "boy wonder" and it's uncomfortable being the oldest at times, career-wise. (I'm in my 40s.) I have no idea how women deal with it. The messages are so skewed. Logan's Run is coming true!
I personally enjoy being older. Reading all the adolescent questions here makes me happy to be older. I'm not putting those people down, but reason seems to replace passion to a degree, and I'm more comfortable in my own skin now. I like that.

It's terrible! God, I just finished climbing Mt. Everest (could only go to 9,000 feet because I didn't have the permit to go higher), and I did that after I returned from Inner Mongolia and a hell of a camel ride....camels hate me! Three weeks ago I came back from the Silk Road, and explored the western end of the Great Wall....sorry I can't tell you my age (classified) but I was interned as kid in Hong Kong during the Japanese Invasion and got beat almost daily for stealing food. As soon as my blood returns to normal temperature, I plan to go to the pyramids of China....so getting older is really the pits...I wished I was younger....I always looked stupid when I was young, so now I look more stupid with savoir faire....this aging sucks.

It's part of life. Growing old can be done with grace and with beauty. America does worship plastic, airbrushed beauty. The best, and sweetest fruits bear blemishes and marks from having grown and ripened in the elements. Yes, these messages need to change.

I'm 37, almost 38. I'm actually looking forward to getting older. I keep myself in good shape, but I certainly don't obsess over it. Wisdom is not automatic with age, but hopefully I am gaining wisdom and learning how to enjoy life more.

I personally aint worring about it. Im only 20 and have better things to think about than getting older. Theres nothing you can do, its part of life so we might as well just live with it unless there are some alternatives to help slow the process, like Botox and sh*t like that but i sure *** hell aint going to spend money on that.
