A-Level students are usually in their final year before college and so around 18/19 years of age. You require 2 sets of exams to acheive a complete A level grade; your penultimate and ultimate years' exams (A/S and A2 respectively) add together to make up the final A level.

Hope this helps

if you are in Singapore you have to sit for your O levels and obtain at least 6 credits/subjects( English and maths are prerequisites) to get into an A level institution, some, 5 credits. And your total aggregate must be below 20 points. The are usually 17 and 18 years old. if you are older you may want to sign up as a private A level candidate sometime in February(if I'm not wrong, could be earlier or later) at ministry of education bureau.or you can also do it on-line at their website. you can attend weekend or night classes to prepare yourself for the exam. you can check for the venues at the website too. good luck

A levels refer to advance level. Students in Singapore take them as their final year exam in Junior college.
