Don't do it!

I moved from Brooklyn, NY to Savannah, GA and stayed for 3 years. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY. Right from the start people hate you because you're from "up north".
You don't even have to say where you are from, they know and they will treat you horribly. Now, I'm not sure how Atlanta is because I have a few friends that love it out there. But me, I've had enough southern heat, music and bad attitude.

I must admit the food is great but you'll never eat pizza again!

Atlanta sprawls into several county and city school districts. The largest are - Atlanta Public, Gwinnett County, Dekalb County, Cobb County, and Marietta City. I think Gwinnett, Cobb, Fulton and Marietta City offer the best schools. It all depends on where you chose (and can afford) to live.

The link below will take you to the GA Department of Education web page which lists the Atlanta area school districts - you can then pull up the school report cards to get an idea.

As far as employment - school systems are usually the largest employer in their county. Check this same web site for employment opportunities.

N. Fulton and East Cobb have the best schools, those areas are the more expensive parts of town.
