Does this mean I can blow everybody up and repent afterwards in Jesus's name and be saved? Of course I will be humbly sincere.

Yes.

And according to the literal words of the bible, you can even ask for the explosives you need and get them, as long as you ask *in Jesus' name*.

Yes. If you are religious you can be forgiven and saved in the name of Jeeeee-zus as well as Allah, as well as yehoweh..........or any religious name you choose. Just don't repent until you are through sinning. That's why so many people wait until they are on their deathbed to repent and do the confession thing.
HOWEVER, unfortunately, if you sin against the laws of the land, you will find yourself in front of a less forgiving god.....He of the black robe and wooden gavel. And if you sin badly enough you will spend time behind bars with Mr. Bojangles.

No we are saying you COULD sin and be forgiven.
Purposefully deciding to sin to test God on HIS promise of forgiveness is a different subject all together. That is called "Trampling under foot grace"

Hebrews 10:28-30
28Anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29Think how much more terrible the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God and have treated the blood of the covenant as if it were common and unholy. Such people have insulted and enraged the Holy Spirit who brings God's mercy to his people.

If your are contrite, accept the consequences of your actions, and make amends of your life and the life of others, then yes you are forgiven. You won't know about your salvation until judgment day.
In the Catholic Church we participate in our salvation in Christ Jesus. It is not foisted upon us. Therefore, when forgiven there are things that must be done to demonstrate the sincereity of our hearts and its desire for salvation.
Yet, if one freely and consciously refuses to abide by contrition, acceptance, and amends, then no, you won't be forgiven. And why is that? Well, let us use a blatant reason for remaining unforgiven; Presumption. In this you would be taking wrongful advantage of God's grace and mercy. As St. Thomas Aquinas teaches, God would offer no grace to anyone if it were to lead to more sin. In other words, if you ask forgiveness, but continue to consciously and freely blow people up, then you will not be forgiven for you waste the grace that would have been offered.
Forgiveness does not give anyone the right to continue sinning. The goal of forgiveness is reconciliation and conversion to preserve the bonds of love. We teach that forgiveness is to be given freely, but this only means we dispense forgiveness for every sin except the saddening the Holy Spirit (we cannot forgive this because the power has not been granted to us). However, once forgiven there are conditions to abide by. [1] Contrition: are you really sorry for what you did? And so, continuing blowing people up proves you have no proper remorse. [2] Reconciliation: reuniting with God and His people. And so, continuing to blow up people shows you have not allowed yourself to be reunited with God and man. [3] Amends: are you willing to accept the temporal consequences of your sins (e.g.) go to jail for murder? Are you willing to repair the damage you caused with your sin? If you continue destroying people, then you are not willing to "accept" and "repair".
So, there is more to forgiveness than saying, "I'm sorry."
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

No, God knows your heart and if you plan to sin and then seek forgiveness, that is quite different than sinning and then being truly repentant and seeking forgiveness. You are presuming God's forgiveness when you have willfully planned to do evil and then try to seek forgiveness. God will know that and will judge accordingly. You cannot be humbly sincere when it is part of a plan to do evil to begin with.

If your Catholic, then yes,you probably could go do whatever you wanted and then go get saved(lol). But,if you have a conscience like all humans are born with, then jesus has nothing to do with it.You would just FEEL that it is wrong to hurt other people or animals. If it bothers you if someone cries because of you,or if you see an animal hurt, that is called empathy, and has nothing to do with jesus,it is inside everyone. Some people just forget about it.

Sure, why not? Maybe after a horrific sight like that you saw the err of your ways. Maybe no matter how you feel afterwards, you've still commited a horrific act and God will take vengance upon you. Maybe you just die and nothing happens.

Maybe you should think twice about blowing everybody up.

Wow, some of the people answering these questions don't sound like they are right with Jesus.

When you accept Jesus as your Savior and decide to follow Him, the Holy Spirit comes upon you and God's kindness brings you to repentence. To repent is not the same as to confess - to repent means "to change one's ways."

I don't believe that you can have Jesus in your heart and thoughts to harm, such as to murder a large group of people, simultaneously. There is no freedom in wanting to kill someone else and Jesus is about freedom - freedom from sin.

When you become a believer in Jesus Christ you want to follow His law, which is to love your God with all your heart, mind, and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. Do you think killing all of us, the children of God, is a demonstration of love?

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the final Judge and He is the only one who can read your heart, but I would say that such a premeditated act would ruffle the feathers of God's wrath.

Well thats going about it all the wrong way! That would be taking advantage of Jesus, he's not dumb! But if you truley repent and give your life to the lord (asking Jesus into your heart) He will forgive you of your sins, and forget. (the bible says your sins go to the deepest depths of the oceans, and will be forgotten).

You can't deliberately do it with the thought you will repent later. If you are ignorant of God before the act and then learn about grace afterwards, then yes you can repent and be saved, but not the way you describe. You can't flim flam God, He knows your heart and your thoughts.

thats a bit of a controversial issue too. On one hand your knowingly committing these sins against God, and on the other the Bible says that God forgives all sins. so i guess we go with the Bible and say sure why not. just dont die before u get a chance to repent.
