Alcoholism is a serious disease that can have permanent consequences to the health and mental health of the alcoholic. While it is possible that the president has suffered brain damage from his alcoholism, it is more likely that he has suffered damage to his internal organs, notably his liver. Of more concern to his mental health would be any damage resultant from cocaine abuse.

Wikipedia is a very bad source. It has no content control, no serious editorial board, and anybody can post articles. If you have a grudge, what a better place to post your grudge? Post your propaganda in the guise of an encyclopedia article!

Leftie Loonies have been trying in vain to discredit our President who has done the best he can under unbelievable conditions.

Many high acheiving people had wild and crazy periods when they were in high school or college. So what. They grew up.

So stop buying into blatent propoganda.

i do think that being an long term alcoholic can affect many things including your brain. I have a grandfather who was an alcoholic and still is. he goes to dialysis three times a week and still drinks! either way he is going into a nursing home because he can't take care of himself anymore. he is only 70 but has degenerated to someone older. it is proven that alcohol destroys brain cells. really, any kind of long-term drug use can do that.
but as far as george bush, that could be his problem. it could also be that he was a rich boy and didn't have to learn anything because he could get by with money.

Well, at least it's a possible explanation. No one could be that retarded and still not have to ride the short bus and wear a helmet everyday without some kind of self-induced trauma.
