If you mean convicts, they are not permitted to join the armed forces. Most lie and have poor moral character.

There are a great deal of Military members that are Conservatives. My husband being one of them.
I support the police, should I go out and join the force? I support the fire department, so the logical thing for me to do would be to join them? I also support the entire medical profession, teachers and many other professions, but that doesn't mean I have to become one of them. And further more, though we aren't over in Iraq or on a ship in Iraqi territory, we Military families do our share of "Fighting" in the war, regardless of what our political views are. Who do you think takes care of everything when our spouses are away for God knows how long. Unless you've done it, you can't imagine how stressful and hard it is to try and live a normal life so your children don't pick up on your sadness, when inside you think you are going to scream because you're so worried about your loved one fighting over there.
If we all had to join the service just because we support the President and because we agree with the war, it would defeat the whole reason our Military does what they due! They fight to ensure our freedom, and part of that freedom means we have the right not to join the military if we don't want to.
You ask why all Conservatives are not fighting over there...Well, I have to wonder if we pull out of Iraq, leave Afghanistan, ignore countries like Lebanon that harbor known terrorist, (Which by the way, Saddam was also doing) and just go ahead and wait for another 9/11 to happen, and another one will happen if we ignore these people, would you and all the others that think we don't need to fight these terrorist be willing to go risk your lives to save people that are inside the buildings the next time the terrorist decide to crash another plane into one? Will you all take care of the clean up much like the World Trade Center left behind when it came down? Will you tell the victim's children that mommy or daddy was killed by the terrorist that you thought should be left alone? And will you dish out the millions and millions of dollars it's going to take to support these families of the victims? I think that answer is going to be a big no!
You don't have to like it, but everyone has the right to believe and feel the way they want about this war. That is why our Country is so great! We don't have to agree on everything, and we don't have to fear for what we believe. If you don't agree that is totally fine, then move to a country where people don't have these kind of choices and everyone is forced to believe the same.
So until you do your share of getting rid of the terrorist, you have no room to talk about anyone else.

So sick of this, First - conservative or liberal does'nt mean **** they are both worthless, look at the facts there are actually many children of politicians serving in the armed forces, dont just belive idiots like micheal moore, Next many of the people who vouleenteer do it because they belive in the cause and some need the money but most dont, my brother is over there fighting for your stupid, worthless *** and he does'nt need the college money he just wanted to protect america. Lastly like many others have pointed out the war was approved by both dems and reps so u cant really say that Dems didn't support the war.

I don't understand your question. Are you suggesting that there are no conservatives fighting in wars anywhere.
Where do you get your facts and figures?
Don't forget also that the military has certain standards and not many politicians or average civilians over the age of 20 would be much use to the army.

Some of the people above me are wrong. True, the Dems supported the AFGHANISTAN war. Only 1/3 of Democrats said yes to a war in Iraq (that shouldn't be occurring).

I think you will find the majority of our military is conservative. I am over the age to enlist, or I would have. My wife a has since died and left me to care for 2 kids on my own. If not for this I'd be over there working for a private firm helping as much as I could for our cause.

I would say that the majority of the people in the military are somewhat destitute and are forced to go because they deeply want to go to college, but their family does not have the finances. They need the army to pay for their education. The Cons probably will not fight in the mess they created because they know how hopeless it is.

That's not the real question - plenty of both are fighting over there. Question is why are so few of the kids of our elected offials fighting over there? From both Con & Lib, but especially from kids of those who promulgated and supported the Iraq invasion.

I suppose I am what your ever so small Canadian mind would label a "Con". And, as a matter of fact, I did proudly serve my nation. Any other brilliant questions? ehh?
I have one. ehh. When will Canada stop sucking off of the tit of the U.S.? Sometimes I think we should annex you for the fishing spots but then I think about all the half wits that would then be a part of our great nation and I realize it wouldnt be worth it. ehh.

Why or Why won't Democrats fight in any war except the one to see who gets oral sex from the intern first?
