John Wayne airport runway length is 5701 - the 747 requires a minimum runway length of 6600 to take off and 6,700 to land -
Nope, he's not seen them - however, there are other aircraft, like the Corsair, that also have the familiar "bump", so perhaps he doesn't know that the "bump" isn't exclusive to 747.s

No. The runway is too short because of the noise ordinance and the procedures in taking off/landing to control the noise. For example, when taking off, the plane has to go STRAIGHT up over the ocean to avoid a lot of excess noise one normally hears at an airport. The runways are much shorter to achieve this. A larger plane would not be able to safely land.

In theory, on a "standard day" at sea level at minimum weight in the hands of an expert you might get some models on the ground safely on a 5,700 foot runway. And you might even get it off the ground safely as well.
Of course, this would be disregarding all of the published approach and departure criteria.

Possibly, if it is a smaller 747 and the emergency brakes are used.

with the intention to target this, you opt to be truly prepared. i visit imagine of diverse complications, no longer that they couldn't be conquer: -in case you fly into LAX and sightsee round Santa Monica, site visitors receives truly undesirable on Friday afternoon. answer: in case you arrive round 11, verify you'll get luggage and be at out the front by technique of 12 or 12:30. Then bypass on to something close on your convention. i'm hoping it is on the Anaheim convention middle. if it really is the case, then bypass to the Disneyland motel, it really is ideal throughout the time of the line. you may bypass visit Downtown Disney, and then round 3:30 walk to the Anaheim convention middle. something like going to Hollywood and Highland has too a lot skill for you getting stuck in site visitors.

I don't think it's possible unless you count the old adage that states that any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. So, in light of that....it's probably entirely possible, though the plane might never fly again. :)
