If you bombed a place and killed thousands of people on purpose, would Jesus forgive you if you asked him too?

I think you would have to be truly sorry for what you did and pray for forgiveness, but I doubt someone who would do such a thing could be capable of being truly sorry for it.

This question stands to reason....

1). Why would you blow up a building on purpose and kill thousands of people if you were truly worried about whether or not Jesus would forgive you for it?

2). Have you already done this deed and are now feeling truly repentant of it?

If the first then don't do it to start with. If you have thought this through you will see that what you are contemplating is murder and the Bible expressly teaches against that. We are here to show the love of Christ.....to be radical extremists and go around blowing things up and killing people to get our point across. Murder is murder and Christ had to die for that sin....

If the second, then I suggest you truly reflect upon your Christianity and realize that Paul teaches us that we are to be like Christ...to be renewed in our minds and not to go on sinning even though we can and will be forgiven if we ask and are truly repentant of what we have done. To go on sinning is spitting in the face of Christ once you have come to know Him and to accept His sacrifice on your behalf.

Third..... there is only one unforgiveable sin and that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. If you attribute to yourself or to the Devil something only the Holy Spirit could do then you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit and that is the unforgiveable sin.

I am praying for you.

its not merely the asking.. they might not go far enough

saving faith requires calling on the Lord yes, but this is more than merely 'asking' or merely 'regretting'

- having the basic facts of the gospel, the death and resurection of Jesus, who Jesus is and why He came

- believing the facts
(demons do this much, the first two, and perhaps some terrorists could get htis far as well and it will not help if they dont go farther)

- loving leaning and treasureing the truth
the center and highest treasure in heaven is God (not 70 virgins... sorry ..that puts man in the center not God)
this wil result in works and repentance as fruit of salvation

I think the big issue is whether they repented in a saving way and did the third thing

Have you seen the testimony of the 3 ex terrorist that did become Chrisitans? here is probably a real example of real forgiveness!!!

No, unless the bomber KNOWS that doing such a thing is "forgivable". Unfortunately, what everyone KNOWS at the core of there heart is that they should not harm anyone. People in that position would have extreme difficulty BELIEVING, after dealing with the atrocities of war, that it was "forgivable" and would be less able to put faith in "forgiveness" after experiencing such things.

Two things are very important to remember here:
1.)BELIEF and KNOWING are two completely different things.
2.)Hell is a state of mind.

It may sound crazy to us, but yes, you are forgiven for that if you sincerely ask for forgiveness. That doesn't mean you get forgiven and then with a clean slate, feel free to mess up again. You have to work hard to maintain your life. You have to work at being as sinless as possible, and when you do sin (because we all know we will again) you have to make sure it's not as big as the last, and not on purpose.

All sins are forgivable. I know in our human minds that sounds absurd. We want to grade sin. Someone who kills one person is not as bad as someone who kills millions, right?

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8 KJV

How many people do you have to kill to be a murderer? However many lies do you have to tell to be a liar? So, all of those are in the same boat right?

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 KJV.

So, the wages of sin is death. Who has sinned? ALL. ALL. The person who killed 10 people and the person who lied about the dog eating his homework....ah ah ah....you are going to say one is more severe. Is it? Maybe. But all of it is still sin. And the wages of sin is death. Not the wages of this type of sin. There is no sliding scale. However, Christ said that salvation, eternal life is a gift. A gift. I have never earned a gift in my life. That is the definition of gift---given without earning it.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 KJV

Ok, so a man must be born again---accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus---to see the kingdom of God. However this does not say that one must be sinless to begin with. Why because according to Romans 3:23, ALL have sinned. So ALL sin is forgiven.

Even if you don't believe that Bible as truth.....can you see how those who say that all sin is forgivable?

Well, David did some pretty messed up stuff, sort of like what you're talking about except bombs weren't invented yet. And God forgave him. Paul went around murdering Christians before he became one, and Jesus forgave him. So I'd say yes, he would. I guess you'd still have some stiff consequences though. Look at Saddam. Somebody get that dude a bible. ;)

If you truly repented and were sorry for doing it, yes, He would forgive you. The only unforgivable sin is blasphemey of the Holy Spirit which is basically not accepting Christ as your savior.
