According to Revelations, Satan sinned in heaven.

Not only did Satan sin, 1/3 of the hosts of heaven sinned along with him.

It appears heaven isn't the sure thing Christians claim it to be. If they believed their own doctrine, that is.

Which is really, really odd since he was a supernatural creation and couldn't have been born with sin.

How do you say there is not Free will in Heaven?
I will give you an example to explain this ...

Who has more freedom? A Civilian or a Prisoner ?

A prisoner may steal again in the jail and think he is better off as he is still in the jail ... But that is not Freedom...

And think of a Civilian, he cannot Steal, He cannot Murder, he has to follow so many laws ... But does it mean he is in worse condition than a Prisoner ?

No there are many many things that a Civilian is Free to do but the prisoner is chained and cannot do it....
In fact Civilian can actually steal or murder also and he has actually choose to follow the Law also...But he will be thrown to jail for that and lose his Freedom .... Still he actually has Freedom to do that !!

Similarly so who do you think has more freedom ? People in Heaven or in this world ?

There IS free will in heaven and on earth.

God made his sons, both heavenly and earthly, not because we wanted robots in an emotional sense. God doesn't want 'forced' love or obedience even if imposed by the one who created them - Himself. Anything forced is not loving. God wants 'free will' so that individuals, whether heavenly or earthly, can 'choose' for themselves to serve God their Creator.

Free will is dignifying to both humans and spirit creatures. He made us with the ability to choose, so he wants us to exercise those abilities. Yes, an angel or a human can choose right and wrong. The proof is with Satan himself.

It's true no human has ever gone to heaven and been back to tell about it - not even Lazarus. This is interesting because Lazarus died and Jesus resurrected him, yet Lazarus made no mention at all of what heaven was like. And if heaven is the place where we're supposed to go when we die, then why did Jesus bring him back to the earth? Why didn't he just leave Lazarus there?

Back to the free will thing... Jesus is the only individual (according to the Bible) that was in heaven first, came to earth, and then went back to heaven. He would be the best equipped individual to describe what heaven was like, what God is like and the sort. Jesus knew that Satan chose to leave God. Jesus said that Satan didn't stand fast in the truth.

The Bible shows that Jesus and his angels later fought in heaven with Satan and his demons and cast them out of heaven and down to the earth. This shows, free will, decision making, action and reactions and Satan's part.

Free will in heaven? Definitely.

That is a very interesting thought. For there to be freewill, then you would have to be able to choose between right and wrong, and the basic idea of heaven implies that you can not do wrong in heaven. Even if you could choose to do wrong (like Lucifer) then you would be punished for eternity, which basically compels you to choose right, thereby taking away your freewill. Which, could give insight into why some angels rebeled.

Yes you will have freewill in Heaven, just as you have freewill here, but the empasis is different in Heaven that it is here. Augustine answered it this way. ON earth we have freewill, but we do not have TRUE liberty. Meaning the desires of our heart where not for the good.

In heaven it would be different, but the desire of our heart will be for the good.

The question is if everyone has the choice between good and evil, but know one chooses evil, are they free... because that will be the way it is in Heaven.

While we are alive on this earth God gives us a freewill, to choose salvation or damnation, God does not make us a Robot, But by his foreknowledge he did Predestinated us all based upon his knowledge that he knew what path we would take. To the ones that mention Satan sinned in Heaven & there will be war in heaven, you need to know where to place those scriptures, Satan in the beginning was the bright & morning star until iniquity was found in him & also many angels, & to this day there is angels that is chained until the day of Judgement, Satan was cast out of heaven, BY who? GOD, that shows God has power over satan. As far as there being freewill in heaven, we will be too busy praising God & seeing our love ones, that we will not be concern about freewill. Now to answer your question, your question can be answer in a 2 fold way. NO THERE IS NO FREEWILL TO MAKE A DECISION TO WANT TO DO GOOD OR EVIL, But Yes there will be a freewill to talk to your loved ones who made it. God will not say to you that you can not talk to AUNT Sue today. because heaven will be a place of happyness. Why would God have to correct us when there is no sin in heaven. So it depends on the thought of what you might say freewill is. If you want the freewill to sin, you will never be there anyway. Now to the ones that mentioned satan sinning in heaven, we go back to the creation of all things, there was a time satan was the most highest angel in heaven except for God, But iniquity was found in him , every angel from the time of creation had to be tested, when Iniquity was found in Satan, God cast him & his followers out of heaven, & God put some angels into chains to be judged at the endtime, because they did something that God did not want loose upon this earth even to this day. Concerning there being war in heaven you need to read Revelation 12:7-9 we have to see that is the war Christ & his Bride will fight against the anti-christ when Christ comes back, The Angel Michael is also known as the battle angel, because in Revelation we see a war that has to do with the endtime, & Satan & all his angels has already been casted out of heaven millions of years ago. Yes I do believe this earth is older that 6000 yrs. old, That is also in the scriptures, & after satan was cast out of heaven in the begining, all angels & animals was tested during the prehistoric time, Satan was already a fallen angel then. Heaven is anything above the ground, Yes there is a 3rd heaven which means the true heaven where Christ is at now, Paul was caught up into the 3rd. heaven , but Rev. 12:7-9 we can not say this is where satan & his angels was cast out of heaven, he was cast out at the beginning of time. This is a war in the angelic world here on earth at the endtime. I could go on more to explain, but time will not allow. And I know many will dis-agree

There is not need for free will in heaven, because all who are willing to have the will of Christ will be in heaven.

YES, I believe there is, as long as you don't drift away from Him. We don't have all the answers about places we having been to. Heaven is more like earth, cause He is the same Creator, except it's perfect, no shadows, more vibrant colors, everything is alive, so yes it's like here, you'll have the desires of your heart.

Free-will is a load of BS. The only reason people 'choose sin' is because they want to. Take away the desire for 'sin', and no-one would choose it even if the term 'free will' were coherent. So the real reason for 'sin' is the 'sin nature' we all have.

Well who the hell gave us a 'sin nature' and then expects us to defy it!?
