Because as long as you are with them it is a gift. the minute you don't want to be with them anymore they want everything back. I tell all men that give me gifts that what they give me is now mine. For example when I got engaged to my husband he gave me a really expensive ring. I told him that if we broke up it is mine to do with as I please because it is a gift. This even happend to my daughter. Her boyfriend helped pay for her prom dress, but he turned out to be a liar one week before the prom so they didn't go. He then wanted the dress back. I told him the part he paid for was a gift to forget about it. Not to mention it wasn't her fault he turned out to be a scumbag. So anything a guy gives you is yours. don't give it back. If he persist, then call the police, he has bigger problems.

What the hell is an Indian giver? Oh I see, do you realize that was back in 1910. Don't know about you but that was long before my parents were born.

Cause they don't want or can't stand the thought of someone else using,sitting,laying,or looking at you in something they bought you. Or the thing that they gave you was not a gift,it was something that's attached to their heart,when they left the gift has to go too. I know that's not right but that the way some men feel.Hope that helps.

Not all answers are directly proportionate to every question. But first, the Anatomy of a question must be examined.
What is a "question?" This is weird because one is forced to use the very entity being examined to examine the question of what a question is. This is an indication that there is something lacking in man's logic or his communication systems or both or something else.

i assume you're talking as to why some men give a LOT of crap to a woman.... it's because they haven't figured out that women don't have price tags, they can't be bought. They see Anna Nicole Smith latch onto a dying man that gives her whatever she wants, and they think it works. When they finally go broke, and realize that it doesn't work, they'll start figuring out that women prefer gifts that are big on thought, not on price.

Because women are. If u Get engaged but wedding is called off then yes I get the damn ring back. If a woman buys me a car but, i break up with her then yes i give the car back
