If so, how has your views on Atheists changed?

All I've noticed is it's either the Christians bashing the Atheists, or the Atheists bashing the Christians. The really good questions and answers are asked by those who haven't yet made up their mind about their religion, and are still free thinkers. Sorry to offend, but it's the truth.

I don't see a reflection of God in the Christians who use this site as a stomping ground for casting blame and arousing fear; Likewise, the Atheists who want to bash others' beliefs ought to try and instead not insult others who have chosen to believe in a higher power.

Well, I am a non-believer who wishes to respectfully answer your question :-)

I have learned a lot since my first participation on this site :-)

I needed to know more about my own religious & spiritual beliefs/non-beliefs.

Thx to all the people I have meet thru their questions & answers, I know now that i am a non-radical atheist.

Thx to this site, I "know" better what "atheist" means:
someone who doesn't believe in any kind of religious nor spiritual concept.

I know that atheists do exist, but that "atheism" doesn't. Real "atheists" don't call themselves "atheists" unless they are ask "what is your religion?", in a poll for instance.

I see that most of atheists are respectable persons - no prob.

I don't consider that anti-theists are "true" atheists.

No. There are some rather impolite atheists as properly as some reallly impolite Christians as properly as rather impolite (fill in the sparkling with notwithstanding) in this internet site. i've got confidence in God yet I even have 3 siblings who're atheists. i think of they impact my opinion of atheists extra advantageous than strangers on a internet site.

I honestly never realized that so many people not only don't believe in any God, but are violently opposed to people who do. I honestly used to think that all Americans knew and accepted that America is a Christian country. I honestly never realized that there are actually people in America who actively hate Christians.

To be fair, I also never realized how nasty some Christians can be, either. Some of them have obviously been slain a few too many times.....

No. Because I realize that people are different... even those within a group and agree on the basics of the beliefs (or lack thereof) within that group. You may be a really cool guy, fun to party with and to talk to.... and your best friend (hypothetically) who's an atheist, might be a real prick.

When you asked questions...they answer as openly as another religion would to any question. They want to be left alone. So leave them alone. Do not tell them to find your lord. I think religioius take more offense to their answers because they deny your god and your religions. otherwise, i know excellent people that are atheists..This site has no changed my opinion about them. I have found out there are more fundamentalists christians out there than i imagined though. but my opinion has not changed on christians.

Actually, I changed my view of atheist at the forums at about.com. I learned that they don't take religion seriously and should be left alone.

No they are the same miserable creatures who wont accept God and keep suffering...
Those in this site are not much different from those that we meet in our world...
We are more interested in Helping those who are seeking God and their Doubts are Troubling them in the Path of God Realization...
