Healthy eating is the practice of making choices about what or how much one eats with the intention of improving or maintaining good health. Eating healthily can make you look different and feel different.
Cereals - bread, pasta and rice all provide carbohydrates which are important sources of energy
Meat and fish - chicken, red meat, fish and seafood all provide protein, which is very necessary. Be sure that fat and skin is trimmed off, and that the food is cooked by a low-fat method. If you are a vegetarian, there are non-meat sources of protein available. See the topic Vegetarian eating.
Fruit and vegetables - contain LOTS of different important nutrients.
Dairy - milk, cheese, yoghurt and ice cream all contain calcium, which is important for the development and maintenance of bones and teeth and nerves. There are varying levels of fat in these products, but almost everything can now be bought in a low-fat version.
Avoid sweets - with lots of fats and sugars
Water - everyone forgets about water, but it is important and the best drink for you. Try to drink several glasses a day. (One or two glasses of cordial or fruit juice are fine too, but try not to drink too much soft drink.)

Healthy is eating fresh foods and especially choosing fruits and vegetables that are in season. If you can afford it, try to get organic where possible. The healthiest way to cook meat is to grill it, vegetables are best steamed. If you need to use oil, use olive oil. It is not healthy to cut out all fats from your diet - you need to have a balance of everything. It is also important to have variety, so try not to eat the same thing every day. If you make a big pot of something, instead of eating it all week, freeze the other portions. Good luck!!!

Broiled fish and Chicken are wonderful meats to eat for a heatlhy diet. Broiled or boiled is the best method for cooking meat. Fried foods are obvoiusly more fattening, avoid those. Stay with white meat as much as possible. Of course, green veggies are great and stay away from starches like pastas and breads. Sugar turns into fat, so keep away from sugar or anything that turns into sugar. A lot of people make the suggestion to stay on veggies all the way, but you loose your protein in doing that, so you do need to keep meat in your diet. Try to avoid red meat as much as possible. I'd suggest to wein yourself off unheathly food, instead of the cold turkey way. The cutting cold turkey way rarely works, beacuse you get discouraged. So just gradually work yourself off unheatlhy foods. Hope that helps.

Balance is the key. Don't have too much sugar salt or fat, but dont cut them out completely. Variety is the spice of life.
Processed food can be healthy (depending on your definition of 'processed' - remember skimmed milk goes through a process, and is therefore 'processed' food)
Did you hear about the guy who lived to be 100 years old, by eating nothing but 'All Bran' ? - actually he was only 40, he just felt like he was 100

Foods that are minimally processed, adn as close to their natural state as possible. A real potaot microwaves to bake it is better for you than a package of betty crocker dehydrated potatoes in some high-salt sauce mix. Frest fruit is better than Fruit Roll-Ups or fruit juice.
Steaming and roasting are lower fat methods of cooking. Boiling is also good, depending upon the food. Be careful boiling veggies or they will lose nutrients more than if you steamed them.
Lower fat meats like turkey and white meat chicken and lean beef or pork are healtheir than fatty cuts w/ visible white fat (marbling), sausages, or lunchmeats like bologna or salami. Again, think little to no processing.
Low fat dairy products are a great option. Yogurts, hard cheeses, lowfat or skim milk... all good choices.
And of course, plenty of veggies. Whether cooked or in a salad, they give you a lot of nutriton for your food dollar with little calrories.

Its good to eat raw fruit and veg as much as possible. You need good fats like nuts, homous, avocados etc. Try to change your diet slowly or your body won't like it and try to make food fresh yourself.
Porridge is the best breakfast. Use herbs and spices instead of salt.
Wholewheat pasta tastes ExACTLY the same as white! And wholegrain bread is nice. Skimmed milk is refreshing.

you could start by trying new veggies n fruits, mixing with new things like different types of nuts make salades or yummy snacks, you could try changing your bread to oat bread really good!!! eating healthy would best be done with Natural Fresh foods doing this will cost alot more but be better for your health i don't eat healthy so for me to give advise really is irrelevant.. Best cooking advise to start with using olive oil when coooking.

Moderation is the key to healthy eating, little and often. You should not deprive yourself of chocolate or crisps.
