Start slowly, walk 10 minutes 2-3 times a day. I wake up early and exercise everyday, if I don't I just can't seem to get my day going. Try parking far away from every where you have to be and get in some exercise that way. Try thinking and planning ahead for meals so that you don't sabotage your diet plans. Buy snack size baggies and put snacks in them for quick bites. When I shop I always have something with me so I don't binge buy. I don't buy all those little snack size things either, way too expensive I just make my own, they are usually healthier too.

Set some small, attainable goals for yourself. Once you accomplish your goals, reward yourself. You could start by keeping a food journal, and being conscious of the food choices you are making. Fast food should be out, but you can treat yourself occasionally. Also, remember that any kind of activity is better than none, taking a walk or a light jog can get you started. When spring comes, that is how I usually have to get myself going after a long winter. If you belong to a gym, make time to go, and do something-anything that will work up a sweat or get your heart rate up.

If you don't have enough time for exercise, then you can combine your daily routine with exercise. Walk or ride a bike to work or to the shopping mall, if that's possible. Take the stairs, instead of the elevator.
If all of this adds up to 30 minutes of exercise a day, then it's good enough to stay healthy and fit.

Hang a poster of an actress who has a very nice body shape, always look at her, and you'll be motivated to do exercise, or the fastest way is, if you study mathematic, study it very hard and always think of math, i lost 5 Kg, because of that, without exercise ^^

Or, ignoring all the lame answers, make a bet with a few friends who also want to do the same thing. Say for 1000 pounds/euros/dollers whatever. Your mind will be focused on that money, and you won't want to lose. That's what I'd do anyways.
