Stop crying and shut up!

no seriously... the best thing for a bad throat (which we all get so quit being a drama queen) is complete and total silence. Quit trying to talk and sip warm water and NO alcoholic drinks!

It will come back... Remember, the voice is the only living instrument in the world and you have got to care for it. Don't scream, watch your breathing (as in breathe correctly. In through the nose with the stomach extended out and then out through the mouth as you flatten the stomach with the exhale.) do warm up exersizes before singing and breath exersizes and you'll be good to go.

Calm down... It's not all that bad unless you have nodes... Then you're screwed!

Hot tea lemon and honey....

Honey cough

No milk products and stay away from caffeen

Plenty of liquids and gargle with salt water a few times a day.

Breathe in the steam of soup while it cooks and that will open air passages and soothe your throat also.

Go to a dr and get checked for strep while your at it.... Your voice is your instrument... take care of it like you would a guitar or grand piano... when it needs a tune up go to a specialist and get it looked at.

Have you gone to the doctor? You probably just need to rest your voice.
