For myself, I found that when I am confused I am growing Spiritually. I am not doing the same destructive behavior, but don't know what to do next. If that makes sense to anyone.

Peace and Love

No it is not a bad thing, it just means you're growing and THINKING!! I've studied all religions and faiths for several years and consider myself a "seeker". I've learned the more I learn the more confused I sometimes feel about it all. I think it's because the differences we have in all beliefs are so small it is amazing we still fight about it. Keep searching, check out some websites and see if you can find where you fit. I found a good one with www.beliefnet.com. They have lots of info on all religions & spiritualities and you can take "quizzes" to see what type of religon or belief you would fit best in. Don't give up, sounds like you're doing great!!!

Makes perfect sense. Are you involved in church? Do you have someone you can count on for spiritual advise and counsel? Sounds like you need this type of fellowship. Our old lives will only cease when we cleave to our new life in Christ. This is hard to do if we are alone. Read your bible daily. Pray daily. Pray for wisdom. Memorize scripture that will help you stay strong or overcome your sin. Memorizing scripture is like putting the bullet in a gun. If we have an empty gun then it can only do so much....If we load it then we can eliminate a threat. Was that a morbid anaolgy or what? lol. I was always told that memorizing scripture was the arsenal we have to defeat sin---so I was trying to expand the metaphor...did it work???? Maybe not. lol. Personally I think you need someone you can pray with and grow spiritually with. If you don't have that now...pray for it. I did. And I got a friend I couldn't have done without. It did take some time. However until then as the song goes, "You have a friend in Jesus." Seriously, you do. He will help you.

I do understand what you mean, but confusion is a bad thing because it usually leads to something totally destructive. For example, the woman who killed her children was confused. She had thoughts they were evil. The devil's main job is to stir up confusion, and what better place to start with, than in the churches? You have people so confused, that they don't know what to believe anymore. The destructive behavior as a result of this is that some turn away from God. We now have atheists, agnostics, scientologists, etc...
But the devil knew that this would happen, and that's why he did it.
We must pray to get unconfused as soon as possible, before it makes us lose our very souls.

Yes, it means that what you have been told doesn't make sense to you and it doesn't sit well with you, which is an indicator that it is not right for you. When you realize what is really in your heart, and your head agrees, then you know you are standing firm in your beliefs. Then, and only then, will the confusion subside. It's a very natural thing to do some soul searching to find your inner beliefs. It's a crucial step in personal growth.

I do understand, that's God's way of letting you know he wants to elevate you to another level and also you have to seek him for your next step he has to be able to guide you. It is a good thing that you are not displaying destructive behavior becasue God can not led if your are in the way. Just trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding and in all thy ways acknowledge and he shall direct your path. Proverbs 3:5

It is okay to be a little confused but as long as you go to the Lord in prayer and listen to the Holy Spirit it will clear up alot of your confusion and doubts that you may have.

Remember trust God and put him first in all things .

BE ENCOURAGED AND NEVER DISCOURAGED.

As long as you remember that God is not the author of your confusion, you'll be fine! For then you can truly turn your misconceptions and misunderstandings over to Him for guidance and teaching to help you grow more in your faith and knowledge of the Word. Confusion is the seed that Satan uses often to make people think about the choices they make, trying to make their old ways seem more attractive than ever or make their new ways seem more difficult to understand. Separate yourself from your confusion through study and prayer, and there simply won't be any more room in your spiritual life for confusion to take place!

God is not the author of it!
"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." I Corinthians 14:33.
Hear, read, study, memorize and meditate on The Holy Bible and you will grow in the Lord and not be confused.
