well...my first response is a smart aleck one. My dad used to ask if anyone knew a way to lose 10 pounds of ugly fat real fast, and of course, we would say no. He'd say...chop off your head. Of course, i don't recommend that, but i can say, 10 pounds in a month is pushing what a doctor will tell you is healthy. I was losing about 2.5 pounds a week, and mine jumed all over me. So here is my help:

My husband is heavy...200+ pounds. I guess that's not real heavy, but to me it is since I'm a tiny thing. Anyway, he dropped his pop intake, Immediately he saw results. He drank unsweetened tea with lemon a lot, but when with his meals, it was after the meal was done. What this mattered, I don't know but the lady he was going to said to. He ate a salad with lo-cal dressing or no dressing before every meal. Red meat ONCE a week, lots of chicken/turkey/fish. Ran on the treadmill for 10 minutes or so every morning and every evening. Drank a LOT of water. Wheat bread and/or whole grain bread...no white bread. Pastas were limited. Rice was fine. We ate a lot of stir fry and chicken...never friend...always baked or broiled. His diet was set for his body type and likes/dislikes, but I am sure some can help anyone. I'd be happy to hunt out some recipes for you if you would like..just drop me a line. He lost 55 pounds in maybe 6 months time, and looked good. He's still a big guy, but I lov him to pieces!! Good luck, and be careful....losing too fast is not healthy and when you do it that way, it tends to come back much quicker! Also losing too fast can leave you with that extra flapping sagging skin!! LOL!!!

First of all, 10lbs in a month is probably neither a healthy nor an achievable goal. If you are significantly overweight, a loss of 2lbs a week (still a pretty high goal) is something that you can definitely achieve if you are really determined. So basically it's a matter of calories in vs. calories out.

First calculate your basal metabolic rate, which is the number of calories your body uses each day just to keep you alive (you can use a BMR calculator such as this one http://health.discovery.com/tools/calculators/basal/basal.html). Then figure out how much exercise you are going to do each day (I'd say at least 90 minutes), and calculate the calories burned doing that (http://www.healthstatus.com/cbc.html). Add those two numbers, that will be how many calories you burn each day.

From that number, subtract 1000, and that is how many calories you should eat that day (one pound is roughly 3500 calories, so to lose two pounds in a week you need to create a 7000 calorie deficit for that week, or a 1000 calorie deficit each day). Sparkpeople.com has a great food tracker--check it out.

****HOWEVER, do not eat less than 1200 calories a day. Doing that just slows down your metabolism and will not help you lose weight; it is simply counterproductive. If to create the 1000 calorie deficit you need to eat less than 1200 calories, either do more exercise until you are using at least 2200 calories a day, or just give in to losing weight at a slower pace and make a smaller deficit each day.

Cut calories by cutting carbs and exercising by doing a lot of cardio. Normal weight loss is 2 pounds a week so 10 pounds in a month isn't too outrageous. Just be careful and don't starve. Be sure to drink plenty of water and eat veggies and some protein every day

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

It is safe to lose up to three pounds weekly depending on your weight. With the right diet and exercise you and lose 10 lbs. yes.

Try cutting out all drinks except water and use skim milk on cereal. Special K yogurt and berries mix is a good "diet" cereal. Jog at least 30 minutes everyday combined with watching what you're eating and you should be there in no time!

Good luck.

Well first off you will need to go on a diet. Cut out every junkfoods you have and if you get hungry in the afternoon try drinking water to make yourself full. Next try sleeping early, because you will need to wake up early in the morning to jog for 1 hour, minimum of 30 minutes(DO NOT eat anything except for a banana and a glass of water before you run in the morning). After that try running 3 more times in the afternoon (1hour or 30 minutes each jog) Try not to stop while you r jogging, at at the same pace. Do different types of abominal exercises(crunches, situps, reverse leg crunch, side crunch, captain's chair etc.)Choose 3 exercises for your abs, and do 2 sets of 35 reps or more for each exercise every hour, if you can. stretch out your abs before and after you work them out. One last tip, DO NOT EAT PAST SIX O'CLOCK.

Simply eliminate all fast foods, cut back on starches/carbohydrates you consume.

You could probably use a little excersize faily also. If it means just walking around the house a little more each day.

It really doesn't take drastic changes. Just sensible alterations.

If you drink soda, stop. Exercise daily, even if it's just a 30-minute walk. If you can do an hour, even better. Fill up on fruits and veggies and limit, but don't eliminate, carbs.
