The Bible states that God I love. And he is a hater of violence. Remember God destroyed all but 8 people in the flood because the world was filled with violence. And he will destroy all those that love violence again at armegeddon.

What you're saying is true and any reasonable person can see that, but unfortunately, terrorists are not reasonable.
They want their people to be uneducated and oppressed so that they are controllable. They don't really want freedom for everyone, they want power and control. They're so narrow minded that they refuse to negotiate, compromise or intelligently reason with anyone and resort to violence because they are barbarians and won't get out of the stone age. And apparently they like it that way!
I don't like war or fighting or killing, but I don't know how else we can respond when these terrorists attack people. I think we need to somehow start influencing their children and maybe in a few generations, their mindset might change, but the current terrorists are too far gone to change them now.
I keep praying, though!

That is Heaven, not earth.
Remeber 9/11. I'm an American, and cannot forget that, sorry.
The world would be so much better if there was peace, but there is so much sin in the world, people living against the Bible. Peace will never happen until the anti-christ comes and tricks the world. I I will not be here, though.

"If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck so that he dies, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed; but if it happens after sunrise, he is guilty of bloodshed. A thief must certainly make restitution, but if he has nothing, he must be sold to pay for his theft." Exodus 22:2-3 (read the rest of the teachings on the Exodus 22, they are hilarious, read the rest of The Holy Bible you'll laugh)
So God is telling us that if we kill a thief before sunrise it's OK if it's after sunrise it's not (wtf?!) and that we can sell the thief if he has no money to pay us back...so basically God is an adept of slavery but he urges us to "Love thy neighbor...", he commands "Thou shalt not kill..." but he says that we can kill thieves before sunrise...God sure is indecisive for an omniscient being. Therefore I am not really sure that at least the christian God despises violence that much (after all, he killed the entire world population once, and Sodom and Gomorrah, and plagued Egypt after "hardening the Pharaoh's heart" so that he wouldn't let the slaves leave, and many other mindless murders, just read The Holy Bible)

How do you really know God despises violence? If he really did, wouldn't he give us another chance in the Garden of Eden? The Garden of Eden was humanity's Utopia where everything got along. How do you know God did not intend for Eve to eat the apple? Maybe, this was God's plan after all. Not only that, if God so hated violence, wouldn't he take temptations out of our hearts and hatred in our souls? I am only saying because there is NO one who really knows God's plan and how God feels, except for God.

Some of those hijackers on 9/11 were well educated men. Education does not guarantee peaceful behavior.

It's time to realize there is no "god" and violence might be reduced a little. Because the "god" of the bible was a very violent one, so your information is not accurate, if based on the bible. And those idiots fighting over a sandhill in the middle east, are fighting because they both lay religious claim to it. If "god" was real, he would come down and put a stop to it, if he didn't like it. So, he either is not real, or enjoys watching them fight. Pick one.

What makes you think God despises violence? In the old Testament, he smited everybody, including his "chosen" people the Israelites, on an almost daily basis because they wouldn't follow his tenets excactly, even when they ate pork for one meal by mistake.

I am afraid that violence is a part of human nature. Everybody has a dark side, whether we like it or not.
The trick is to find the balance and to have the good side prevail.
