My beliefe system is very different than most people. Infact so much that my family totally disagrees. I am not looking for repremand from people who dont agree with me I am looking for some support for a change. Here are few things I am talking about. I dont wear make up nor pants. Only dresses and skirts below the knee. I dont celebrate any holidays including chiristmas and easter. I was raised Nazarene and converted when I was 23. There is no name, nor docterine behind my beliefes just the Bible . Does anyone else believe the same way I do???????????

I wear dresses and skirts because I believe in dressing modestly I believe the provoking somone on purpouse to lust after you is wrong. If you have given them no reason to lust then its not your fualt. I live to please God and no one else.

I just read the bible and decided that the "religion" or " doctorine" that I was raised in was wrong. You cant just enterprite the Bible to please yourself and thats what most religions and doctorins do.

I have never tried to force my beliefs on anyone else. And I seem to have most people shoving things in my face constantly. Such as my daughters 1st grade teacher two years ago gave me a lot of problems and was even calling my home and harrasing me. I dont push my beliefs on anyone and can back all my beliefs up in scripture. Its not my place to judge anyone else. I am just looking for someone else outside of my church that can relate to me and what I am going through.

Its not just the dressing modestly its also about my dedication. And I have yet to find a pair of pants that does not form to fit my figure. I dress to please God first my self second and my husband last. I do believe he has the right to want me...lol.

I don't think it is radical. I do believe it is what you have learn and read in the bible and it seems you have not taken it out of context and do what you believe.

Good for you

I understand the way you feel. My whole family is Christian (most of them not practicing I must add) I however don't believe in organized religion and have had people yell and scream at me for my beliefs.

Let me tell you what I have learned about myself and on my own. What you believe is up to you. Your personal relationship with your personal higher power is what makes you feel comfortable. It might be tempting to stop believing what you believe because it helps you fit in with family, friends and what not. But you will never feel good in your soul if you don't honor who you are. If your friends and family truly love and care for you, the will respect what you believe. That doesn't mean they will agree or even understand. But they would respect that you have to do what is right for you.

I would also say to you, I understand you are looking for someone who believes the same way, and that is great. But keep an open mind to your friends and families beliefs. You would be amazed what you can all learn about each other just by expressing your beliefs. It also helps in these disscussions to have a no yelling rule :) By keeping an open mind you might also find people who have beliefs similar to yours. But again, as I have found, if you are looking for someone who has the exact same beliefs as you, you will be looking forever. You have to be open to taking what you can get in life.

Good luck to you, and I hope you have the strength to stay true to yourself.

I'm sure someone, somewhere believes the same way you do. It's a big world out there. Beliefs are personal so who cares what your parents or friends think. As long as you treat others the way you would have them treat you, and lead a good life and not hurt anyone...you're fine.

BTW...What is the Nazarene religion? Sounds like you and Jesus have something in common.

As long as you maintain the basic, "fundamental" beliefs of Biblical Christianity, don't have a problem with it at all. It would be wise though, to not try to force your conviction in these areas on others who may not share those convictions nor look down on other believers who do believe the same as you in these areas.

I don't believe the same way you do. I do understand the Bible verses you use to support your views.

Many Christian's have convictions that are supported in the Bible.

I am free to dress modestly and I, along with my husband, make the decision what is modest and what is not.

As long as you hold your own beliefs and are not judgmental when someone else doesn't hold your view, then it is fine...because we are free in Christ. As long as you keep your beliefs between you and God and don't make them law...then it is fine.
Galatians 3:10 (NKJV)
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."

We are not to act like a Pharisee.

I am also to remember that I am not to flaunt my freedom if it will hurt my brother or sister in Christ's walk.
1 Cor. 10:23-24 (NKJV)
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. [24] Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being.

The kingdom of God is not about eating meat sacrificed to idols or drinking wine...we are free to do those things. (I find that hard to believe because I would have a very hard time eating meat that I knew was sacrificed to idols)

I am very opionated about things...like birth control. I don't think we are free to use it. If children are a gift of God, then we should freely accept all the gifts God wants to give us. There are many Christian's that don't agree with me...and that is between them and God. I am not to try to convince them to be like me...heaven fobid! My stance on issues doesn't make me more Godly or more holy! In fact, I have had a very hard time accepting all the children God has wanted to give me. It hasn't been easy, and I've found out that I have a bad attitude towards being pregnant! I tend to get mad at God when I find out He is giving me another blessing from his hand.

My personal views are hard for me to live up to... I would not want to burden my sister in Christ with that burden. and...what if I'm wrong? What if when I get to heaven I find out that God was fine with birth control?

You don't sound radical, but I'm a bit confused by the comment about only wearing skirts. Many types of pants (not the tight ones) are more modest than many skirts, even if they are long.

Let's hope God agrees with your belief system. He's always been rather particular about the way he prefer's to be worshipped.

No, I don't. I am a non-radical atheist.

Well, I don't understand the whole question. I would understand better if you told us what you were converted to when you were 23.
