I had a baby 2 1/2 months ago and have lost all but 7 of the 55 lbs that I gained in pregnancy, but I still have swollen and painful knees and my rings still don't fit!!! I can't find any information about it in books or on websites and my Dr. didn't seem concerned. Can anyone tell me if they've had this or know any reason for it or what to do about it???

you are holding fluids. take vitamin B complex at least 100% of the daily recommended, plus a complete vitamin and mineral supplement.

the knee thing is not normal and you need to see another doctor. second opinions saved me.

you lost a lot of weight very quickly, this can be a side affect of the method you used.

and congratulations on the babe!

Alot of that is normal. 2 1/2 months is not that long. It takes a while for your body to adjust to a different shape - even if you have lost most of the weight. Even if your doctor isn't concerned, you can still ask him what you can do about it.

You have lost a lot of weight in a very sort period of time...You body maybe be in shock and is retaining water just so that you don't dehydrate. Your knees may be painful because you had so much extra weight on them for so long, they take a while to get used to your new weight.
You mentioned your doctor not being concerned about it. Have you mentioned it to him? Or maybe he just hasn't noticed.
