Does anybody know any vaccination for measles/german measles. I know that they are different, but could you give me brands or generic names for vaccination of measles and/or german measles

As far as I know, you can only get vaccinations from your doctor or vaccination clinics
Rubella is the proper name for German Measles and Rubella can be prevented by a rubella vaccine.
The vaccine is usually given to children at 12 to 15 months of age as part of the scheduled measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) immunization. A second dose of MMR is generally given at 4 to 6 years of age. As is the case with all immunization schedules, there are important exceptions and special circumstances. Your child's doctor will have the most current information.

For the past 28 years I have worked as an immunization consultant and can tell you that the brand name for vaccines that protect against measles, mumps and rubella is called MMR. It is a live vaccine and is usually given to children after 1 year of age. The booster dose is usually required between 4 and 6 years of age.
The rate of immunizations in the United States has caused a dramatic decrease in the number of measles and rubella cases in the states. When I was a child, there were more than 400,000 cases of measles. Last year there were less than 100 cases nationwide.
In the 1960's there was a rubella outbreak which resulted in thousands of congenital rubella syndrome birth defects. Since the rubella vaccine was introduced, the number of CRS cases have also dropped dramatically.
Recently, the CDC has introduced Varicella vaccine. Another live virus vaccine to protect against chickenpox. Let's hope it has the same great results as the MMR vaccine.

MMR vaccine (Mumps, Measles, Rubella vaccine) covers for both, Measles (caused by Rubeola virus) and German Measles (caused by Rubella virus), as takes care of Mumps as well. It is also called triple vaccine in some places. Attenuvax is a vaccine purely for Measles (Rubeola).

Hi,
there are few brands of vaccination for measles and German measles. You should ask your doctor for vaccination.
Why are you asking for the german measles in paticular ?
( I'm german)Here in Germany we get vaccination for measles in the early childhood and than later again. I'm not sure , but in the US you're getting vaccination for measles, chicken pocks , Tetanus too , right ?
You should consult your doc , he should know everything about the german measle vaccination.
