I have recently moved in with someone in a very old house. It looks over a cliff on the ocean. At night there are strange sounds that come from under my bed. I hear knocking on the cieling from the dining room below. It is extra bad when my boyfriend is away on business. What should I do to make this terrible noise stop? Is exorcism real? Ghostbusters? I saw the movie and is any of that true? I don't know what to think. Witch spells? Wicca? Help me please. Thanks, Scared In The Dark.

You just need to sit down and let these ghosts know what the situation is. They are not welcome, they need to move on, they cannot stay there. Ask them all to leave and if they don't, then tell them they have to go. You are the living inhabitant - you decide whether they stay or not. Just be very confident and collected and know you have the power to decide who can be in the house and who can't.

No, your fears are real but it is not a dead person. Which makes it even more scarey.
God is a spirit creature and there is other spirit creatures millions of them. Jesus was the first spirit creature ever made col 1:15
That is the only one you hear about but in Genesis 6: tells how they saw the daughters of men and came down to be husbands and live with these women. They materialized in human bodies.
Being able to look anyway they wanted took all the women they wanted. They were condemed by God for leaving heaven to do that. Revelation 12; read that chapter a real war broke out.
Micheal a good angel and satan and his angels battled.
Then satan and his angels were thrown down to the earth.
They are very active in human affairs because it says woe for the earth. Why would it be a problem if they couldn't do anything?
They want you to believe that it is a dead person so they haunt old houses.
Genesis 3: God told Eve you will die if you eat from the tree.
Satan said you won't really die at all. who was lieing?
can't both be right? God went on to even explain what death was for dust you are and to dust you will return.
So what you have in your house is a wicked angel trying to scare you and you have every right to be afraid.
A cross is a pagan symbol so it won't help you. That is a false story. Only the bible helps people. Leave one on your night stand by your bed so they can't hurt you. Pray to god when you hear the noise. Out loud. They don't want to hear you praying to god knowing he hears you. And he has cast them off.

old houses means old wood and maybe this is the source of the sound u hear every night..
but if u wanna make sure then try exorcism, but don't think about any spells.. u may make things even worse..
I guess watching horror movies is out of the question for ya in that house, huh?

I had simular problems in my house it's very unsettling. What i did was contact my nearest spiritualist church and then a medium visited my house. They preformed a passing on cermony and well it seemed toz have stopped. this basically was to move the spirit into the light. It's worth a try dosen't cost anything. Hope thats some help.

No. Ghosts are not real. Trust me, They're not.
Neither are goblins, witches, leprechons, unicorns, or the flying space pixie.
You might have some rats in your walls. Call an exterminator and get rid of them.
There is always a natural explanation for everything that happens. ALWAYS. Sometimes you don't find it right away, but it's ALWAYS there.
Stop looking for the supernatural. It's not real.

There is no such thing as hauntings. As you stated, you live in a very old house. Old house creak and groan and make other noises. You're probably more aware of the noises when your bf isn't around, cause when he's in bed w/ you, you are probably busy doing other things than lying there thinking bout the noises.

babe the place you are situated is enough to create these sounds and creaks
the water will be breaking against the rocks etc which ill cause a few changes in the house , wood bending with cold and warm spots etc
when we get so scared though we add to the situation , our own fear can create an energy
so my advice is .... get used to the sounds ( every new home has them ) .. don't worry about it being anything nasty .... and fill the house with love and laughter and create a whole new type of energy in the home

Age to a house doesn't have anything to do with the ghost. However I use a vacume cleanner to disperse the electo mechanical force that pisses of the ghosts and they go away. Try it. Grandma taught me and it works! You can have a trailer house and have a ghost.

Most situations like this are not real hauntings. Hauntings are actually incredibly rare. However, if you are afraid, you should check and see if there are "ghost hunters" in your area. They usually work for free and will do tests to see if they can find anything. Most likely, they'll be able to let you know if there's anything to be worried about.

Well, I don't know if you've heard of Sylvia Browne, she's a psychic. She say's if you have ghosts, just talk to them and tell them they're dead, and tell them to go home to God. She say's they are just people who don't realize they're dead. I've read a lot of her books, and I watch her on The Montell Williams Show every Wednesday. I believe she's the real deal. Yes, ghosts and spirits are real. I do believe our spirit lives on after death.
