I really do think that MOST teachers care for their students. I'm a teacher, and I care...also, I became a teacher because I liked the atmosphere a school has. Kids are great, if you get to know them, and that's how you know a teacher cares.

Right now, school teachers are preparing for the new school year. They are planning lessons and buying supplies.

People become teachers for many different reasons - just like any other job. Some people do it because they love children. Some do it because they want to make the world a better place. Some do it because they love the subject they teach. On the other hand, people do sometimes become teachers because they don't know what else to do. Some people think that teaching will be easy. Others do it because they get summers off and good benefits.

I think that most teachers really do care for their students. No matter why they went into the profession, they want to be successful at it. They want their students to learn. Some teachers get frustrated when they feel that students don't have respect and don't want to learn. But it's not that they don't care for their students. They just don't know how to make the students respectful and interested so they can actually learn.

The truth is that most teachers leave the profession after 2 or 3 years. It is extremely hard work! So teachers who stick with it are not doing it just for kicks. They do care about their students and they want to make a difference in kids' lives.
