If cats and dogs have umbilical cords, why don't they have navels?

Yes, but they don't look like ours because the mother doesn't tie it in a knot. Find a less hairy dog (cat's will claw you) and have it lay on its back. Look below its rib cage and it will look like a little round scar.

Yes they do their mother chews off the umbilical cords of the kittens or puppies right after they are born and then eats the umbilical cord. And they do Have navels but they are to small and covered in fur at birth to notice them!

Yes, they do. When I had cats, I found their navels. Then I bragged about it at work and everyone looked at me like I was nuts.

Oh, but they do have navels. They are small and superficial though, not like ours. My dog's navel is very visible, since she doesn't have much hair on her belly.

I'm sure they do, they are just very small and covered with hair. The thing can't just disappear with time, so it still has to be there.
