I had a F-1 student visa when I first came to the U.S. Then I met my husband at college, he sponsored me .. and now I have my green card :)

No. An F-1 is a non-immigrant visa. You can only get a green card if you qualify for an immigrant category, either through a family relationship, employment, or winning the DV lottery. Sorry.

john, as any anti illegal on this board will tell you, there is a difference between immigrants and illegal immigrants. someone who comes to the US with an F-1 visa is here legally. please, for your own sake, go back and do a little research and reading on the subject so you can come back and make some informed responses to people's questions. this one happens to be an actual question about immigration processes in this country. she was looking for information, not ignorant whining from you.

Yes, but you must be sponsored by either a person (spouse, parent, etc) or a company. That is unless you have a large amount of money to invest in the U.S. See www.uscis.gov

u have citizenship and function visa she purely has visa in case you marry her u positioned her on your visa as for citizenship i imagine you supply it to her. verify with man or woman in cost congrats :-)
