The judgment was a result of an uninsured traffice accident. The Statute of Limitations on my Judgment has long passed. The Judgment has never been re-entered. How do I get my License re-instated? I have not lived in TN since 1991.

Well, it's going to take a little work, but will be absolutely worth it. You will have to have a release from TN to obtain license in new state. To do so, you will have to show the original judgment and prove that it has not been re-instated. You may want to wait a full year after the last possible re-instatement date.

I would agree that it shouldn't be an issue if you're not in that state anymore. However, usually when a judgment is entered against you, you can't get reinstated until you satisfy the judgment. Are you sure there was a Statute of Limitations on your judgment, or did you mean that the Statute for the accident had run?

If you are no longer a resident of Tennessee, then you're not eligible to have a Tennessee driver's license. Just go to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office where you're living now, and apply for a new license.

Go to your local DMV, or their website, just like if you've never been licensed.
