Is Islam all that bad? or have all muslims been decieved?

What with the continuing barrage of everyday Muslim trying to blow themselves up..who then are denouced as "extremist" by the rest of the Muslim world/ society.. the fact that they really do teach their children to become suicide bombers? they must be crazy..we dont hate them we want to live side by side..so are they being brainwashed?.... and could it happen to anyone regardless of who they are?

Islam calls for killing infidels, and have many examples of Muhammed making deals with enemies, lying in wait for the right moment, then he kills them. Muslims live by the words of the Quran.

We can say that it all up to interpretation, and that may be true, but unlike other major religions that have evolved through the centuries, Islam remains the same. The Muslim mind remains the same. If there are any good Muslims, they are silent due to fear, or being aloof.

Unfortunately for the modern world, the Muslims have been conditioned by their dictatorial regimes to have one thought, the same as the regime. There is no spectrum of opinions in the Muslim world, there is no freedom of expression, freedom of thought, freedom to live life freely (exception is in Turkey).

I am sick and tired of hearing from Muslim community leaders that Islam is such a "peaceful" religion(!). Well, thank Allah Islam is a "peaceful" religion. Can you imagine if it weren't??!

It's time for Muslims to take accountability for their religion and culture. Stop spinning, and address the fact that the Muslim culture is one of the most oppressive and violent cultures, against its own people, and certainly against other cultures.

For those who believe that the extremist element in Islam is small, the numbers are staggering. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world. Lets take a very liberal view that only a very small percentage of Muslims are exterme, while the rest of the Muslim world is very peaceful. So if only 10% of Muslims have extreme point of views, and may be a threat, and must be dealt with, meaning dealing with 120 million Muslims! How about 1%? Then you must deal with 12 million Muslims. How about 1/10 of a percent? Then you must deal with 1.2 million Muslims. The numbers are staggering! How do you propose dealing with even the "very low" figures of 1.2 million Muslim extremists?

It would be to the benefit of the World to rid of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Syrian and Iranian regime. It must be done to finally have a chance for peace in the world.

Islam totally forbids the terrorist acts that are carried out by some misguided people. It should be remembered that all religions have cults and misguided followers, so it is their teachings that should be looked at, not the actions of a few individuals.

The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.

I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach. I think any one will not accept from his enemy to give informations to the world about his life and his belief

Is Christianity all that bad? or have all Christians been deceived?

My point is, there are people in Islam and Christianity that will use their religion as an excuse to wage war against others. How many Christians throughout history have killed others in a brutal fashion?

Islam is a religion of peace (as is Christianity) and most Muslims do not agree with killing innocent people. peace

Muslims do not teach their children to be suicide bombers. Ask any muslim they will tell you the people that blow them self up are not muslim they are under the veil of that religion just as the people that kill abortion doctors and blow up abortion clinics are not true christians they just go under the veil of that religion. Use your mind and think look into the Qu'ran and see what it teaches before you condemn someones beliefs look and see what are those beliefs for your self. Islam depends a lot on the teacher. If the Quran explicitly stated that God's will is only Love and God wishes evil or harm upon nobody, I think the teaching would be more consistent. Islam is monotheism which is a good thing and has allowed millions to live a spiritual life of belief in one God and following the law.

Muslims are not Suicide bombers, if some Muslims are Suicide bombers, then this doesn't mean that all Muslims admire that, OK.
So do some studies, OK.

Islam is not bad. Crazy people that want to blow themselves up and kill anybody that they don't feel are good people are bad. I don't care what religion they are, it is their ideology not their religion. Christians blow up clinics and scream white power. They don't represent me or what I believe in regardless of their religion. I doubt all Muslims would want to be represented by suicide bombers.

In any religion, there are extremists who have delusional views of what the religion really is. It's becasue of these extreme views that the entire religion is misunderstood.
