It can get you jail time.

A boy in my town was 20 and him and a friend (same age) met 2 girls, one said she was 16, the other said 18. They went out and partied and had sex. The parents of the girls went looking for them and when they found them they called the cops and had the boys arrested for statutory rape. Even the girls told the court that they lied to the guys about their ages but the guys still did 6 months in jail. The girls were 12 and 14

yes, i believe it is. the younger generation appear to be older today than they did years ago and the older appear to be younger because of makeup and other age reducing products. if a girl seventeen says she is twenty and has a fake id to prove it, why should anyone think otherwise? people are people and don't walk around with some gadget that can scan an id and prove otherwise. if you are going to punish someone because they didn't truly know the age of a young lady, then punish the politicians and corporations for lying about the products they sell to people and the politicians for not keeping their promises when they are running for office.

Yes I think so, because lots of young teen girls lie about their age to meet older men. I never did that myself but I probably could have gotten away with it when I was a kid. When I was 13 men tried to talk to me all the time because I looked like an adult. Fully developed and didn't act really young. So it's possible. But if it happens to much, then I think your not being fooled, your just being a pedophile.

Yes it is and checking for ID isnt good either but theis excuse of yours is a excuse but one that hardly ever works when you are caught. Just stick to girls your age and you will be fine. just please dont break the law and hope to get away with it...... Thats just WRONG

Doesn't work in the legal system. Seriously, dude. Even if she has papers that says she's 18, if she's not, you're screwed if she makes a fuss.
