Some would say Dry sex is to body rubbing between two partners who keep their clothes on.

I may be out of step with the times, but when I was a teenager back in the '80s (am I dating myself?) dry sex was when both parties got almost naked and laid together and ground their hips into each other like they're having sex but there's no penetration. Lots of feeling up, of course, but...

It's when both people are clothed and the guy just rubs against his or her (depending on the sexual orientation) private parts. Probably the safest, and most frustrating, sex ever. I don't know anyone older than 16 who's done it. I guess it's sex for those who have a guilt complex.

I'm guessing it's similar to dry humping, which is basically just a lot of bumping and grinding, going through the motions of sex, but fully dressed.
