1/2 a dose of children's tylenol (one dropper full, .8ml). A cool washcloth on the forehead will help too.
Don't rush to the hospital unless the fever is over 101.

First try to get it down by a cool cloth or bath. Give them motrin or tylenol for infants. Call your doctor. If it doesn't go down, then take them to the hospital. Infants can handle a higher temp than adults.

Add 2-3 pinches of salt in water. Mix it. Take a cloth, dip in the mixture, remove excess water. Then keep this wet cloth on forehead of infant. Change it after every 5 minutes.

1st and formost.....if you can not get a really high fever down very quickly got to the ER. Methods I used that kept my kids OUT of the ER and seeing thier normal doctor the next morning.

1st thing is give baby tylenol or the equivalnet and while you are waiting on the meds to start working......

Take off the babies clothes....they are only adding insulation to him.

Soak baby in cool water. Make sure cool water rubbed on his head with a wash rag too to get that temp down!!

Once you get babies body temp down dry him off but don't wrap baby up in much for a little while beside a diaper.

Cool wash rags on the back of the neck and head help out some too to help get it down quicker while waiting on med.

A combination of the cool water and tylenol should work within about 30 minutes or less.

Please keep checking temp every 20-30 for a few hours even if you did get his temp down to normal. Thay can shoot up again just as quickly as you got them down. Call the doc 1st thing the next morning.

Please I will stress again, if you can not get a very high fever down in a short amount of time go to the ER! It's your babies life!

Alternate infant tylenol and motrin. But, if the fever is high you need to take him/her to the ER right away so that they can bring it down.

Try a lukewarm bath and anything else that soothes them.

give them the right dose of some infant tylenol and keep an eye on them (if it's not TOO high of a fever, if it is, call the ER)

ok, first if it is above 102 call 911 or get him/her to the nearest hospital. if its not that high get him/her water or apple juice , a luke warm bath, and just hold him/her and talk and clam him/her down.
WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T GIVE MILK!!!!!
you never want to do that when they have a fever because the milk will spoil in their tummy and then they would also be sick from that.

Well, depends on the age and how high the temp is.
If its like 100 try a cold bath, if that doesn't help, I will def call the ER and ask them. Tell them the age, and how high the temp is.

God Bless

Measure temperature every fifteen minutes, use a digital thermometer.
If he tends to get too hot, call for a doctor, don't take any chances

warm moist washcloth gradually wipe baby down, head and chest, cooling the water down slowly as the temp goes down, careful not to chill the baby as this would have a reverse affect..
