Every payday as soon as I get my check and fix a deposit slip I write the check for my tithe and put it in my wallet. If I miss church I just give both checks the next time. A tithe is 10% of your first fruits all the time, not just the Sundays you go.

Dear aj_lets_go_s...

If you can prove that Jesus or God and not the Catholic Church changed the Sabbath day from the seventh day of the week to Sunday the firstday of the week, it may be a good idea. If you can't , then realized that tithing was done away with. Don't believe me, don't believe your parents. don't believe preachers, don't believe anyone. Believe what the Bible tells you. Research the Bible. The Catholic Encyclopedia, ect.

Let me know what you find out. Church of God - Broken Arrow at cogbao@yahoo.com
You have a good and happy day.

Our tithes sould come from what we make a month. I tithe off my check every week also. God provided us with what we have so we need to give Him what he ask of us. Its only 10% of what we make. Tithe is the only thing that God says test Him on. You can never out give God. So yes if it were me I would pay my tithes for the last Sunday also. God Bless.

Bless the Lord with your tithes and offerings with gratitude and longing to give HIM and you will be blessed with no room to hold.
Following is the word of the LORD, answer to your question. Even if you missed 1 sunday, run to HIM the next sunday with your offering.

Malachi 3:8-12

8. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

God Bless
Edwin.

You used the word "need" to give.

Understand first and foremost that anything given with less than a thankful and joyful heart is given in vain.

A tithe of any amount given out of obligation or any reason but thankfullness and joy is useless.

Your heart will tell you this answer. It is certainly one that I cannot answer for you.

If you do not feel thankfullness and joy in tithing and giving, please read and re read your bible, concentrating on the gospels, then Acts.

Men want money, God wants your heart. The money that you give in tithing to God is just like baptism, an outward showing of an inward feeling.

If your heart compels you to do so, then you should---tithes are not to be understood as, or taught to be--'guilt' or 'grudge' offerings; tithes are given of your free will---otherwise there is no difference between the blessed act of giving or the simple re-payment of a debt---the New Testament fulfills all the debts and carnal ordinances that Man has accumulated in his evolution of understanding God---there can never be a physical percentage or tangible increment of love that would be deemed equitable to the love that God has shown us; that is why God requires the free will gifts of men as they are closer to the spirit of reconciliation between the Creator and the Created---gifts from the heart are priceless....

You should only give a church that teaches the word of God chapter by chapter, verse by verse.
If you only go to church on Sunday and you a verse here and a verse there, and the rest is about how it effected the preacher; than no. I wouldn't give. If you have no money to give than don't give. If you have no money to give, but a little. Than you can give a love offering. Just keep in mind that if you only have money for bills and food, that's not your money to give.
I hope this helps.

Tithing is 10% of your gross income. You are expected to give the whole 10% in the month. Notice that if you get sick at work and take a sick day, the government does not deduct from your income the taxes you would have had to pay for that sick day. Also they don't wait for you to pay it ....but they take it out of your paycheck immediately. God at least gives you the choice to do it out of love for Him. Offering is optional.

I always do. You can pay your tithes weekly, biweekly, or monthly. So if you skip a Sunday just pay your tithes for last Sunday and this Sunday. Trust that if you think it will put you in a bind, God will always send a financial blessing your way in return. Everytime I have given my last dime, he blesses me with double. God Bless You!

That's between you and God.
Tithe means 10%.
If your not giving 10% it's not a tithe.
God never makes you give, it's just whats in your heart.
