But, call, if they want you, go see what it is about.... they will enlighten you.

I would start by calling them on the phone. Tell them you are out of state, and heard there is a warrant for your arrest. They will tell you. The first time you get stopped for a traffic violation, you'll be hauled in. Even if you are in another state and get stopped, they check your ID.

you should be able to look it up online if NY had a department of law enforement online....http://www.docs.state.ny.us/ go there and look for Absconder/Fugitive if you have a warrant you find out without going to police and asking
