This is a reference to Matthew 6:22 and Luke 11:34 (KJV) which read: "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light."
While the KJV translates the Greek word "haplous" as the English word "single," the NKJV uses the English word "good," so Jesus' statement reads: “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light." The Greek word "haplous" can also mean "whole; good; fulfilling its office; sound." In the context of what Jesus was teaching, I believe the NKJV translates this word accurately.
The concept Jesus teaches here is further explained by the Apostle John in several places, most notably in the Gospel of John, and in 1 John 1 and 1 John 2:
John 1 tells us about Jesus that: "4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend [understand or overcome] it."
1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 2:9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
Considered together, Born Again believers understand that Jesus is the Lamp Who shines God's light (His Spirit and Truth) into the world. Belief in Jesus Christ heals our spiritual "eyes" and enables us to see His light. Unbelievers are spiritually blind to the truth and walk in darkness, since they are incapable of seeing God's true light.

What version are you reading?
Mat 6:22 "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light."
Luk 11:34 "The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when [thine eye] is evil, thy body also [is] full of darkness."
This means that if you want to do God's work than you will seek to do God's work.
If you seek to do evil, than your body will do evil.
Think about it.

i have never heard this before but it really does remind me of what we would call the third eye .... not seeing with your physical eyes but that inner vision , intuition etc
actually i quite like the saying and if it is similar to what i feel the meaning is then it would make great sense for me
