Is a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am with 68,000 miles for $8600 a good buy?

I don't know too much about cars but that many miles in under 3 years seems like alot...what do you think?

I checked kelly...it is over 10,000!!

but that is in excellent condition (it automatically assumes) and i would say it is in good condition (besides the miles) not excellent.

that is a lot of miles on a car. the average per year is anywhere between 12,000 and 15,000. . the average for that car should be 45,000 not 68,000
be careful if it has that many miles, it will probably start having a lot of problems now that it is older.
check kelly blue book and xehix.com they both will give u a better understanding on the price. also check with carmax.com and see if you can find any cars that look like the one you are interested in and see how much they would be willing to pay for such a car with those miles.
i think the price is a bit high.

It is FAR too much. 68,000 miles is a lot as well as the price they are wanting for it. Remember that we are now dealing with the 2007 model cars. IF the 2003 is in good shape (I would have a mechanic check that thing out) then a price around $5,600 is more in line.

the car might be worth that much at the dealership but it's not an amazing price. A firned of mine bought an 02 a little over a year ago now and paid $10,000 for it and it had a little under 40,000 miles, also it was a 6 cylinder. so you should be able to get that car for about a thousand less.

No they are asking way to much... look it up online in the Kelly blue book and they will give you the price that it is worth. 68,000 miles is a lot in 3 years!

I think that is a fair price for that car . And the miles are right for the year it came out in 2002. If ya like it buy it
