Free software's are freely downloadable from Internet. You don't need to pay any cost for them. But they may corrupt your system some times and also there is a chance for spy ware/ad-ware or virus attacking your system. On the other hand Private software's are the ones which aren't from the patented corporation. For eg., you can get a copy of Windows operating system from an outside professional rather purchasing it from Microsoft Corporation.

Hope this information helps!!

Private software, called "shareware," is the stuff you pay for. Usually you can download a time limited version (say you can use it for 30 days) without buying, sort of "try before you buy." You might want to download the "demo" version of a shareware program to see if it plays nicely with the other programs on your computer. After the time period, if you don't buy the software, it stops working (called "cripple ware, it cripples it's self). Free software, called "freeware," is free, no time limit. Freeware is "as is" if it screws up your computer, or you want technical support you are out on a limb, good luck. I have never really had any problems with freeware. A good site to go to for freeware is: www.nonags.com. The company might have other "professional versions" with more features that are not free, hoping you will buy them. I have a mixture of freeware and shareware. Have fun, enjoy your computer.
