Why is it when we go to do a No.2 we do a No.1, But wen we go 2 do No.1 we dont do a No.2??

I've done no 1 and 2 at the same time. But if someone asks where have you been and you say 'to do a number 2' even if you have also done a number 1 I think it is because a number 2 is more involved and takes longer than a number 1 so is worth mentioning more than a number 1. Hope this helps.
