anorexia is inability to eat due to lack of appetite but in this case it is abnormal cos it has progressed into a disease condition.depression can make u anorexic cos u are so unhappy and so detached from th world and food is the last thing on your mind

Yes and no. They're two different disorders, but they often come together. One doesn't really 'cause' the other, but a person can develope depression from the pressure and unhappiness that comes along with anorexia or can develope anorexia from the self-esteem problems that come with depression.

I agree with the person who said it's all about "the chicken or the egg" which one comes first. One of the classical signs of depression is anorexia but anorexia can also cause major depression.

Yes, and anorexia can also cause depression, when you do not eat, you feel unhappy.

that's like one of those "chicken before the egg" questions. who knows. point is, you may be depressed and anorexic.

talk to a therapist about medications and therapies available for your condition.

you are in charge of your body- your body is not in charge of you.
