BOSU. I know I've wanted one for a long time, and it has gone down in price from $120 to around $100. You can order it online from ebay or the manufacturer's website. Most sporting goods stores have it in stock if you would rather buy it in person and also save on shipping&handling.

There is a capsule exercise ball. It's shaped just like it's sounds. I have seen it at Wal-Mart stores in the exercise/fitness department. (Usuallly next to sporting goods) That kind of sounds like what you are looking for. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they run about $15.

BOSU ball... stands for "Both Sides Up." They are sold at most of the larger exercise stores.
