I am not sure if I should relax for a year and have fun or try teaching. I think it might be a good experience but I'm not sure if i'm ready.

I taught for two years after my first degree. I have to say, I found out alot about myself during those two years. I would suggest it if you have any thoughts of becoming a teacher.. find out now before your Masters program, it will be easier to change direction. I also spent a year having fun after my second degree... I traveled Europe. It was great, but I blew a ton of money. I think if you are going into a Masters program, make money now, worry about fun after the Masters :)

You will get a ton of experience from teaching and lots of ideas about what you would like to do for a thesis. It will also look good on your curiculum vitae that you used that year off to get some experience. Don't worry about being ready. You're not! But you will be by the time you get done with the first few weeks and your fellow teachers will help you if you let them!

The answer to this rather depends on your circumstances. Do you have an income if you don't teach? You may or may not be ready to teach, but don't just sit on your backside for a year. That will be bad for you. What do you expect to do after your masters program? Could you do your masters program earlier at another institution?

Are you working now? If not, go for it. You can always decide in a year whether you want to continue teaching. You could also go to school part time while you are teaching. It is a very good experience and everyone should try it once in their lives.
