YES YES YES YES YES
Because there is no conclusive evidence that links vaccinations to anything...sure there is that rare case where something terrible happens, but your child and others around him/her are safer being vaccinated.
I do not allow my child to receive combo vaccines that contain mercury, however MOST vaccines do not contain mercury which is what lead to the concern of autism.
The American Association of Pediatrics recommends vaccinations, I think that is a more realiable than some friend who has a sick kid, or some internet research.
Anti-vaccine people always use the polio example.....WE DON'T HAVE POLIO because WE VACCINATED and KILLED IT, same thing with small pox.
Depending on where you live, we have a lot of immigrants in our area that bring in illnesses not common to our area, so I feel it is important to protect my child....also airline travel....this is a long shot...terrorist attack of biological nature?
Do you want your child to die from something that could have been prevented by a shot. Other children may be exposed to an illness and not show signs of it in school (because they have been vaccinated) so they are in school next to your child who has not been, your child gets really sick...or worse.
My girlfriend has an autistic son, she still vaccinates all her children, she knows it has nothing to do with it.
I do hate the shots, I cry every time!

Yes I do. I look at what will happen if somehow my child does get Polio, Hepatitis B, Pneumonia, meningitis, or any of the other diseases that we get vaccinated for and I tell myself that a little needle poke, and a mildly sore arm for my children is better than death or a life threatening disease.
The benefits of vaccines far outweigh the risks. Vaccines are manufactured in licensed laboratories according to stringent standards. The majority of adverse vaccine reactions - sore arms or a mild fever - are minor. A more serious reaction, even a death, occurs so infrequently that it's almost impossible to make an accurate assessment of the risk to your child. However, the government can and will recall vaccine lots if there is the slightest suspicion about the quality or safety of the vaccine. Still, researchers are seldom able to corroborate a link between vaccines and bad reactions.

I did start but then stopped. I have personally known 3 children with Autism who I know were perfectly normal children prior to there MMR needles.........DO NOT ACCEPT THE COMBO MMR NEEDLE....ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE BOYS...AUTISM RATES ARE MUCH HIGHER IN BOYS....... I know people who have given there children the chickenpox vacanation...and there children still got the chickenpox.... if you have concerns regarding vacanations.......go to sit down with a Naturopathic doctor........he or she will give you all the ins and outs about needles..........and you will make up your own mind. The only reason doctors give vacanations at 2, 4 and 6 months is because new mothers are most open to them.................the whole your the doctor and you must know best.............NOT! Please do your research and make up your own mind. I have 3 children.... my youngest hasnt had any needles and he has been a picture of health.......he turns 6 next week. There is NO law that says your children HAVE to be vacianated to attend school......people belief this because they ask for the childs vacianation record........if you do not want to vacianate your child you sign a waiver with the school board.......stating that if god forbid there be an outbreak of rubella, german measels etc... in the school that you will take your child out for a week or two...big deal...what is the likelehood of that??? Too many times nowadays.......people do what the doctors say without any research.....do you know what is in some of those needles????? GROSS it would freak you out....cant remember the web site that I went on when researching...think it was DrMercola.com...something like that....I also went to the library and got a book called 'A Shot in the Dark'....EXCELLENT..........you will NOT immunise your children after reading that..... NOT to scare you or anything......it is a personally choice... Just ask yourself this....how many people do you know that get Rubella, Measels, Mumps etc....??? There very, very uncommon nowadays........yes people are immunizing....but what is the likelehood of you coming in contact with an infected person? The whole Autism thing just freaks me right out...my nephew is Autistic........I have worked with children now for nearly 20 years.......he was perfectly normal baby boy up until the time of those needles...I tried to convince my sister in law (from Hell....) not to do them.....but she went ahead... He is 12 in October and has the mind/brain of maybe a 3 year old..... its just awful. Go onto the Autism society website....Im sure they will have links to NON immunization websites... Good luck in your research and good luck with your answer....You know what I want you to do! God Bless.......... L.Butler

Yes. If I didn't vaccinate my children they would be a danger to every other child in the area. It is a proven method of preventing the diseases that have been formerly known to kill thousands of children at a time, and the socially responsible thing to do.

No - I started with my first child and missed a few. When I got her caught up at age 4, I found that I saved her 10 shots. With my 2nd, I got the first few - especially the tetanus because we live in the country - but I will skip the rest until age 4 and school requirements.
I have mixed feeling about vaccinations - I don't like them and I don't like some of the substances in them like the mercury preservative. I feel better having the kids being older - giving the shots while they are still babies was just scary. I would watch them for days in case of any reaction.

You should vaccinate your children to prevent diseases. It doesn't hurt them in any way and it can protect them for years or even their entire life. Why risk their health? One caveat would be the flu vaccine. I have never vaccinated my kids or myself for the flu because there are literally thousands, if not more, of strains of influenza virus. There is no way to protect yourself from every one. You can still contract the flu after being vaccinated.

Yes. The dangers of vaccinations are very rare, and totally overblown by anti-vaccination people. The very REAL risks of the diseases children are commonly immunized against are far, far greater.
Measles, diptheria, polio, whooping cough.....kids used to die from these illnesses on a regular basis.

yes, because you never know what kind of illness a child will bring to school (especially the children that are not vaccinated)

Absolutely.
An obvious reason is that they cannot get into school (in Texas) without an up to date immunization record.
The next, becuase you have to. How could you expose your children to harmful things? Why would you take that chance? I also find it hard to believe a doctor for a child would allow that. Seems they would report you to child services.
Vaccinate your children. Its the right thing to do.
