We noticed that my baby daughter has numerous flea bites, but never found any bugs on my kitten. I gave the cat a bath yesterday and found 2. I am getting frontline for the cat today, but need to know what I can do to remove the fleas from the house. I dont want to flea bomb because we have no where to go, and we leave for vacation on Sunday. The cat will be staying here with a petsitter. Somone mentioned Borox to me to sprinkle on the carpet and then vacuum up. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I would try the carpet powder, that way you can shut a room off for 30 minutes while it sits, and then vaccum it up with no harm to your daughter. I have kids too, so I can understand your concern. Just using frontline will not help the house situation, just will protect your cat. I would try the carpet stuff first and see what happens, plus its pretty cheap..wont hurt to try.

I used to artwork as a Vet Tech and that i observed many kittens/cats are available who have been poisoned (torpid) from proprietors who offered over the counter flea/tick drugs ~ the vet I labored for stated it rather is substantial get a flea medicine that's for the final weight of the animal and over the counter drugs are often in basic terms unreliable incredibly for a kitten. the terrific medicine (earlier I grew to become a stay at abode mom in 2003) replaced into Advantix - it works even though it takes an afternoon or 2 via fact the fleas die as quickly as they chew the animal so even in spite of the undeniable fact which you may nevertheless see fleas they may be on your abode so wait and notice! additionally it keeps killing fleas for a complete month! they are able to even supply you frontline and that kills fleas and ticks although I even have on no account rather seen ticks on cats. i might say that it would be wiser to pass forward and purchase a product you recognize will artwork then to waste money on the over the counter stuff (via fact it rather is high priced too) and you recognize it rather is going to be secure.

Do the Borox thing, and put Garlic in their food. And this is weird but putting flea collars in your vaccum bag will help keep fleas away.

DOn't do that it will kill your vaccuum. If its like advantage it should kill the fleas when it comes in contact with the cat. If you have a lot you will have to bomb there is no other way.

There is a magic spray that they sell at the vet clinics it costs about 20 bucks, I don't remember the name very well but it is something about Environmental Household something, it comes in a spray can and it works great! you spray it and you can basicly watch them die and it is the ONLY thing that ever worked for me when I had that problem about 3 years ago.
