What's the difference from digital video camera and a digital cam corder?

A lot of devices that record video are really recording a series of still at a frame rate much lower than the 30fps that's standard for video. I'd guess that a 'digital video camera' may or may not shoot at the full 30fps, but a digital camcorder will always record at that rate.
