I don't know about cars but I do know that many of the fiberglass boats that were damaged in the Hurricaines last year are being ground up, mixed with concrete and being sunk in the gulf as artificial reefs. The Insurance companies are concerned these boats will get fixed up and re-enter the supply of used boats and they could end up insuring a boat that has been written of previously.

I haven't heard of anything like this being done for cars and trucks but I'd have to believe there is at least some of it.

In the meantime... can anyone say "CARFAX"?
