keep both batteries aside . Name it - battery A and Battery B. connect negative of battery A to positive of B. Now you will get 12 volt from positive of battery A and negative of battery B. This is called Serial connection. Good luck!!
See the simple example on a flash light where more than 1 battery is used. the positive of the 2nd battery goes to the negative of 1st battery, positive of 3rd battery goes to the negative of the 2nd battery.. got it?
