Tie back long hair, do not give your child any verbal attention for doing this, remove the child's hands from around your hair, distract the child. Is there a time when this doesn't happen - when is this and why? Is this for comfort? offer rewards and praise when child not doing this (verbal, specific labelling praise). Good luck.

open his hand when he does it and say no in a stern voise or pretend to cry he wont like mummy crying he will know he has down wrong.
They all pull hair at some stage and it wont be long before its stopped i hope.
If your hair is long tie it up for a while.

You tie your hair at the back and disrupt him by offering him other toys.
Actually,he sounds a very happy, active and normal little one. He`ll probably grow out of his`hairy habit!`

You just untangle his fingers from your hair and say 'no' firmly. Everytime he does this do it and he will soon realise he's not to. You must nip this in the bud now as it's around this age they start to understand things and it will quickly resolve. You have to teach him that it's not ok to hurt people.

swat his hand and tell him no, then tell him that that hurts mommy and pretend to cry a little bit. My son is 16 months and I keep my hair back, but when I don't have it back he leaves it alone, because he knows that it hurts mommy.

My daughter did that too. I was told to pull her hair back, not too hard, but hard enough to get a reaction so she will see that it hurts. It may take a couple of times, but my daughter doesn't pull hair anymore.
